  1. It’s not even his worst song, dreadful as it is
  2. 118 pts net with 6 to play absolutely smashing my competitors in my money league, gone from 4th to 2nd (which carries prize money). Only 3 Game Weeks ago the bloke in 2nd was giving it the billy big bollocks about how he was going to win it and I stood no chance of catching him as he was 100 pts ahead and chips don’t get you much in the way of points anyway (because he'd already used every single one of his). Oh well he's 11 points behind me now with less players left to play The bloke who was in third who apparently called me an also ran around 3 weeks ago is now 43 points behind me. Damn shame I’m off work tomorrow If you hadn’t guessed we have a bit of upstairs / downstairs rivalry going on
  3. Lasted 30 seconds before I was overcome with tweeness
  4. Go and sit on that twee naughty step with @Risso
  5. The following are also from the very same article you posted
  6. Yeah that scans better too
  7. At least its not just me that does it then, even if you sing a different song
  8. Every time I read the Gun Violence in the USA topic title I sing it in my head to the tune of Born in the USA Can't help it, every single time
  9. Trams went away because the reliability of motorised buses vastly increased and there was no need to maintain a network. The cost of maintaining the "network" as such was then passed onto the council / highways agency (or whatever it was called that particular week) So efficiency for the public transport co's but not the overall efficiency because the taxpayer maintained the network not the transport providers. Modern trams (or more technically light rail) tend to be owned by the taxpayer in some form or other now, so the situation is entirely different
  10. Huff Post You'd be forgiven for thinking that they don't want you spending your money in that abroadia
  11. That has nothing to do with retail parks, banks are closing because no-one uses them any more
  12. Given Brexit and the poor finances etc. Capital building projects are a great way to help build the economy. Massive capital building projects are usually funded by bonds / gilts etc not from general taxation A national economy does not work like household finances, it's a ludicrous argument that the Tories have been using for decades and as such it has sunk into the national psyche. It's bollocks and it's always been bollocks
  13. I think they run each other pretty close these days with Brown's anti-vax knob headers but Morrissey probably still wins by short nose
  14. There is a lot of improvement they could do to cover more of the West Mids with the existing rail network. Just one example... The Walsall -> New Street line that goes through Witton No station between Tame Bridge Parkway and Hamstead? WHy, its madness, there has been a need for a station on the Newton ROad since I was a small kid, there used to be one but they closed it at the end of WW2 (and less than a decade later they were building massive estates right by it) On the same line, there's a section called the Soho Loop as an alternative to the usual route into New ST, it used to have stations for Handsworth Wood and Soho Road
  15. Oh and just for the sake of versatility
  16. Never was there a more relevant time to post this (and run away...)
  17. Why does it have to be underground?
