  1. Seems like it’s all a bit mental at the pier head now
  2. It seems they made a concerted effort in Liverpool and are still there.
  3. Probably taken his kids to the local Turkish barbers for a hair cut
  4. Just in case you were missing laughing at the Tories… Imagine being a very recent Prime Minister and getting completely ignored and even unrecognised by a tv reporter.
  5. It really is all it takes
  6. It seems they gone home in Leeds where the numbers were rather…. One sided. Not really going well for them this is it.
  7. Titanic argument was about to post that myself
  8. Oh only just spotted this from last night
  9. You won’t find me disagreeing with that
  10. They don’t need more power, they can do it within the current framework. Need more Police but that has been the case for a long time
  11. You mean the boxing board whose only financial sponsor is Gazprom who banned her just after she beat a Russian? (in addition to what was posted above) Oh and the IBA themselves have been banned from the Olympics since 2019
  12. For some reason ITV is on and they are covering horse racing from Goodwood. Not my thing but as the female presenter is introducing the show and walking down the course, they are playing some music… She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult It’s just utterly bizarre. It must be one of the most inappropriate pieces of background music in a TV programme I’ve ever heard And it wasn’t just an instrumental bit, full on Astbury singing. Are Goths secretly into horse racing?
  13. It’s not just the Russian bots, there’s little that can be done about foreign actors The next level down is the professional agitators, Yaxley-Lennon, Grimes, Oakshot, Farage et al. Then below that there’s the David Atherton types, the well know keyboard warriors hiding their views behind politics. laws already exist to deal with these people. OFCOM needs to get tough with the Social Media companies, every organisation that has prosecutable powers needs to use them, extensively and to the fullest extent. Take those levels out and it becomes harder for them. And yes, it’s a big ask that isn’t without its dangers.
  14. It wasn’t the Police Station that was on fire in Sunderland… vermin
  15. Yep and it all gets amplified by accounts with massive followings and dodgy ownership, then the useful idiots pick it up and it becomes “fact”
  16. It’s quite clear that the best way to put a stop to the riots is for everyday normal people to come out onto the streets and do what Liverpool did yesterday and always does when the shitheads come to town It hasn’t happened since Covid, last night was the first but if they try again it’s almost guaranteed that next time there'll be three times the people in the streets to defeat them.
  17. Out of area police used in both Southport and Liverpool last night. At some point a RW nutjobs lobbed a brick at the mosque (barn door / shovel failure) but the police had to form a bigger cordon, very noticeable that the police facing the peaceful protectors of the Mosque all had hi-viz jackets with Heddlu and Police on the back, on the other side of the road… Merseyside Police's finest version of Robot cop, battle fatigues, body armour, the works.. I think they called in Lancs Police for Southport
  18. How disinformation spreads, a thread worth your while.
  19. Big Ted was one of the stuffed toys
