  1. You really should stop reading things in the media and believe them without checking Here is the relevant section of the speech. You'll note he didn't say that and that in context what he said isn't anywhere close to what is being said by the media Meanwhile, idiots shout Keith because it's cool
  2. Timed for when they were onstage… Russians love their symbolism Words removed
  3. I'm going to do something very unusual for me, walk down the road to catch a bus. That is unusual in itself but even more unusual is going out on a Saturday night... Sooooo.... going out music is on
  4. Should be a great week for Tory infighting ahead We've got the nutty wing of the party already talking about giving Graham Brady letters, we've got the Boris Johnson Trojan Horse AKA the Conservative Democracy conference for all the Bojo fans like Mad Nads, Patel and JRM, then at the same time the nutters are having a Tea Party style conference too Can't wait, pass the popcorn, this'll convince the country that there's stability in the Tory Party And the idea that the current polling isn't relevant to an election that is at best 16 months away is quite frankly, very silly. If the election is any later than 16 months away, the Tories will not win it (and won't be close to winning it either). You've got Tories briefing that the gap is reducing when actually the opposite is true Red Wall Tories want levelling up to actually happen (deluded idiots, like it was ever part of the plan) The Nutters want tax cuts (it seems they've forgotten what happened to Truss/Kwarteng) The Johnsonites want Johnson (yeah I know) And the remaining centrists will all be bald very soon. Even the nutters are arguing among themselves They are making the Labour Party seem united by comparison Meanwhile traditional Tory voters (not members) are voting for the LibDems and are unrepentant about doing so
  5. I had WIlson as Captain, then I chickened out and went Haaland. bollocks! My rival in my ML did the opposite double bollocks
  6. Not one of the most revered albums but a good one nonetheless. The Charlatans - Up At The Lake
  7. So not a Scotch Egg at all then. A Rick Stein signature Faberge Egg then tbf it sounds lovely
  8. Look here it is and yes I’m playing Houses of the Holy It was absolutely useless as an iPad stand for what it’s worth
  9. I've got one of them, its actually quite useful, its not really for the displaying of the album cover but it does give me somewhere other that the floor to keep the album sleeve that's in use And for the record, it's an old iPad stand of my daughters that we bought from that Swedish furniture store years ago for far less than a fiver
  10. I can get a friggin brilliant artisan pizza hand made in an independent pizzeria delivered to my door within half an hour of ordering for less than that Thats a ludicrous price
  11. Lemon Jelly - Lemonjelly.ky Their first album but in reality a compilation of their first three EPs. This came out on 2000 the EPs were earlier A brilliant downtempo album, full of humour perfect for a lazy sunny afternoon
  12. I know I keep post the prices at those two petrol stations by me but today another drop and for the first time in, well quite frankly a f*** of a long time, so long I can't remember, diesel is cheaper than petrol. Diesel dropped 3p to 135.9 and petrol dropped 1p to 137.9 Thats £6.17 per gallon for diesel
  13. Word of caution; that poll is Omnisys and they have had Labour consistently higher than any other pollster It's the rises (and falls) that are important right now, regardless of the actual numbers, the trend of recent polls is that the gap between the two main parties is widening again. Also a correction, one pollster (Redfield and Wilton) actually has Labour dropping by -4 since the Local Elections but it's something of an odd outlier because they also have the LibDems on 16% which is an outlier well above the margin of error
  14. I didn't know at the time of posting but yesterday's Crimean one was also reported as friendly fire. Now there are two scenarios at play here... Either that is genuinely 5 friendly fire incidents in 2 days or Ukraine have Special Ops forces/Partisans behind the lines with Manpads. The reason for them being called friendly fire incidents is the location of all 5 are considerably behind the front line out of range of Ukrainian AA and handheld manpads If it is actually Ukraine forces its another ballsy move that will have the Russians bricking it. Just think about the consequences of the Russians knowing they aren't FF incidents
  15. Leroy Cooper has passed away aged 62. I realise this will mean absolutely zilch to anyone here but it was Cooper's arrest that was the spark to the 1981 Toxteth Riots. After that arrest, he became a photographer and over the years has documented life and the changes that have taken place in Toxteth
  16. Helicopter mysteriously fell out of the sky over Crimea two days ago too. No hint of it being hit but Russia' may be short of crucial parts and lacking in maintenance
  17. Fairy nuff I was just thinking if you do have to remove the banister and you’ve used filler foam, it'll mean needing to do some work to the wall later on
  18. Why do you need to fill it? By that I mean what issue is the gap causing? Or is this just an aesthetic thing? It just seems like creating work for the sake of it
  19. I think that’s the second poll out with fieldwork since the local elections and they both show Labour up / Tories down
  20. Perfectly normal behavior EDIT: The Clevelands Police's statement is hilariously full of obvious holes as well FIrstly, its not their job to investigate election leaflets, we have the toothless Electoral Commission for that and secondly they interviewed three separate people to discover who published the leaflet... erm election agents names are on all election material and thirdly they concluded after this that no crime had been committed, well presumably they could have done that just by reading the leaflet as the alleged crime appeared to be something printed on the leaflet
  21. That headline text about "Do we have the capability to defend our territories?" Well the UK MoD today estimated that 97% of the Russian Army is in Ukraine. Leaving 3% in Russia. Its wide open for attack
