  1. Agree on the current probing attacks but I’m not convinced the counter-offensive will take place in one direction, much more likely to be in three or four directions at once
  2. There are fundamental differences between the two Russian groupings. Russian Volunteer Corps are literal neo-Nazis who used to be in the Ukrainian militias like AZOV when they weren’t officially part of the military. They lived in Ukraine before the war. On the other hand, the Fredom of Russia Legion rely on POWs turning and volunteering to fight on the Ukrainian side, I've not heard of any politics involved. Both groups have one uniting factor, they hate Putin, it could get really messy with these two at some point. I guess if your scenario is true the. It is the Freedom of Russia Legion that Prigozhin would have sent his men to infiltrate as the RVC are a much closer knit grouping and aren’t formed from POWs. The FoRL were formed from a company of the regular Russian army that defected though so even though they’ve expanded to two battalions in strength they already had a command structure. And it would also reasonably hard for Wagner to infiltrate. I'm guessing but I suspect that a lot of people are hoping that at least the RVC get wiped out eventually I also think your theory is a little far fetched. I just think Ukraine is using them as a massive distraction forcing Russia to strengthen Belgorod Oblast and taking resources away from Ukraine in the process.
  3. Usual caveats apply but there's a bit of a riot going on in St Petersberg
  4. I thought they stopped that a good while back after the "partial-mobilisation"
  5. There is something different to their usual reporting on Ukraine though, they are usually 1 or 2 days behind the curve on battlefield news and precisely because they do insist on fact checking, that doesn't appear to have happened here
  6. Yes, exactly that, mobilization is the russian term for conscription.
  7. The Artist formerly known as Baker Days (every school is allowed so many a year - supposed to be for staff training)
  8. Who told you that was the reason he wasn’t on the long list? The person who said that was the reason he wasn’t on the long list was Jamie Driscoll himself. Labour haven't said that was the reason at all, they've just said he didn't meet the high bar they'd set as the threshold. Maybe they were annoyed that he'd already started his campaign, maybe they didn't like his proposed plans, maybe it is to do with Loach and Driscoll's refusal to condemn Loach's comments in the past over the holocaust and nazi/zionists collaborating on the final solution (and other comments deemed AS), maybe it was because Mick Lynch was endorsing his campaign (Lynch is a supporter of a different electoral party - TUSC)… there are lots of reasons why he didn’t make the list, in reality, it's probably all of the above There is clearly a determination from Starmer not to have any far left members in positions of power, the last thing he needs is for the whole AS thing to blow up again, especially in Red Wall seats in the NE of England so yes, it probably is a bit of a stitch up to ensure that doesn’t happen but Driscoll isn’t exactly being honest in this instance either.
  9. As you didn’t actually hand the money over, how would you know? Dont like the look of these - £20, Bollocks, they are paying it, go to spurious reason number 2 in the playbook, sorry lads, no trainers, etc Much better to get people to make their own mind up not to come in first before you head down the path of actually telling them they can’t come in, less confrontational
  10. Used to sell those in the only shop in the village I lived in until a few months ago, those ones are great, the rest of the range are not so good in my opinion, crisps themselves are spot on but the other flavours are just a bit off.
  11. It might not be your age, they might just have not wanted a stag party in
  12. Prince Far-I, Roots Radics, Sylvan Morris (The Original Scientist) and Hope Overton Brown (Scientist) engineering and Roy Cousins producing. Yes two of the various engineers / producers known as Scientist on the same record, there are others. Roy Cousins is the one with the interesting story here though, records with his band the Royals in Jamaica, then disappears. Turns up in Liverpool a few years later and starts sticking out CDs of stuff he had the rights to, including this. I'm fairly convinced he used to pay for his weed with CDs and his dealer may or may not have been some bloke who just so happens to be the owner of a very well known Liverpool Record Label, which is also how I come to have quite a few CDs on Roy Cousins label, as said La el Boss used to sell them me when he popped around to our office to drop off promos (and sell weed) Anyway following the @chrisp65rule of dub, it has a very shit cover, it’s not in your face heavy dub, it’s quite gentle lilting dub, but it’s good

  14. You'd also have to sign over the deeds of your property to a charity or charitable trust I think. I guess your mortgage owners might just object to that
  15. I suspect they are Tankies not Nazis, hence the reference to “Peace without Weapons.” Just more Russophile useful idiots But yes, you'd think they'd know better given a good chunk of the country were under the Communists yoke for a fair few decades and most hated it. It's good to see Scholz speaking like that in public though considering how he was this time last year even, he's clearly forgotten about Russian gas now.
  16. Being on a Question Time panel isn’t sharing a platform. There is no platform of common speakers there, there is no single issue the panel are campaigning on. Sorry but that isn’t the gotcha you think it is
