  3. Yes Action Records does that, so does Probe but Probe really doesn’t stock too many and they new tend to get moved into the sections because they get sold from the new release sections and it’s not too much of an ordeal in there. There is one shop in Liverpool, Jacaranda Phase Oneb that has a DREADFUL ordering policy and shop stocking policy, not only do they massively over order some absolute shite but they put every single record they have in the racks. 6 copies of Altered Images Greatest Hits in A -G and not even all together because having the records actually going up alphabetically together is obviously too hard. On top of that they'll have so many sections for different genres and are a bit clueless as to what records belong where. OMD, that'll be in…? …? Ah 80s Alternative…. Nope Liverpool bands maybe…..? Nope Post-punk maybe…? Nah, give up I'll ask…. Girl goes “Oh I know where that'll be. I follow… Erm no it’s not there, there or there…. Hmmm ok let’s try…. Electronica. Ah there it is….Ah Ok thanks….. Then there’s the new release sections. This weeks, this months, last months, the month before, the month before that….. It takes about 6 months before they get moved to another section which half he time won’t be where it should be So the upshot of this is that you can’t just go to the counter and ask for a record because it'll be in the shop….SOMEWHERE but f*** knows where Stick to New Releases, General, Reggae, Jazz, Dance and Soundtracks Job Done (unless they sell classical as well I guess). Oh and in General have a section for nearly every letter of the alphabet and keep on top of the order buy wandering round the shop and checking every so often though in my experience most vinyl enthusiasts are fairly anal about putting things back in the right place anyway.
  4. Oh yes you’ll definitely find stuff in there that no other shop has had in stock for years. I found a Snapped Ankles RSD EP that was three years old that I’d seen nowhere else ever

  6. Or it could just be intended for the home audience to claim things are going to plan
  7. I'm worried for my daughters day 4 tickets now
  8. Oh good luck, just remember Gordon crams as many records as humanly possible into every rack and files solo artists alphabetically by their first name. Yes, Lee Perry will be under L I'm convinced he'd sell more if people could actually find things
  9. I just thought we were in Fundamental Mormon territory
  10. Actually saw Tin Machine live... glad I didn't pay
  11. There was a track I heard on the radio a few times in the last few weeks and everytime I thought it was some previously unreleased Bowie track, no idea what the track was. Thats all I've heard though

  17. Firstly, the 25 wards (out of 69) were selected because they have over 20% of the housing stock in the hands of Private Landlords. One of your properties is in one of those areas. It's safe to assume that the other wards will be included at a later date, they are targeting the most likely areas for problems first. I'd expect this to become nationwide law eventually Secondly, they will inspect the properties, that's what the licence fee is for, to pay for the inspection regime. You can't send out inspectors that don't exist because the money to pay for the scheme hasn't come in yet. There is nothing unreasonable in that As an aside, just wait until you need to enter a tax code from HMRC to qualify to hold a licence. That will be the next move. Already happened in my industry.
  18. I'll shut up now, for England's sake
  19. What???? I firstly never said go complain to the council, quite the opposite and as for not on here, I never said that either. I really have no idea what on earth you are talking about in this sentence Its a third home surely? And you've been talking about this every now and again for a while, so it's hardly the shock you are claiming. It was announced back in September 2022, so you've had 9 months notice since the schemes approval and a prior 6 months to that when the council made their decision and awaited Government approval for the scheme
  20. yeah seems quite leisurely atm
