Update: the Asylum centre themselves have asked that there isn’t a counter protest as they have everything out of there and it’s boarded up To be honest as a previous participant in plenty of counter protests it kind of makes sense. It’s absolutely obvious that the Police are stretched and making them have two lines of defence is just counter productive. I see the point if it’s a one off, like they usually are but having battles out on the street between the Throbbers and the generally reasonable population on the other side is just going to feed the race wars narrative for the likes of Farage / SY-L / Musk / Putin (and all the others). Counter-protests and street battles is what they want, it’s feeding their narrative.

I've just got to my IVR logs from Saturday night, there were an awful lot of people in pubs on County Road when it was all going off But so far my favourite tale from the weekend is the owner of a hair salon on County Road, who'd had a few drinks and heard about the riot. She rang us for a cab because she wanted to remove stock and equipment from the shop. We quite obviously refused telling her cars weren't allowed near.... so she got in her own car and drove there... only to be arrested for drink driving She wants us to provide a letter to say we wouldn't send cabs to county road (on the advice of her solicitor) so she wont get a driving ban.... Oh he's getting multiple convictions. Lush, O2, Greggs and at least 2 other shops. There are many images of him in a good number of different shops He's also got previous convictions for having knives (which he handed in) because he was threatening to kill Europeans. He was meant to be getting help for his violent tendencies as part of his conviction. He's from Hull iirc He's going away for a very long time.
