There was supposed to be a “protest” outside Liverpool Town Hall tonight at 8pm. I drove past at 8:30pm and the only thing out of the ordinary was the single police van parked opposite facing the town hall on the pedestrianised area. No a sign of anyone else, no-one.

Is the 55 year old woman in question the well known Covid denier who lives in a £1.5 mil Cheshire house ? If so she deserves everything and I mean everything she gets. Hers is the tweet that started the whole thing, it was the tweet that was amplified by the Russian troll farms and started the whole RW protests that turned into riots. The Southport riot is directly her fault as are all the rest. It’s really about time that people learned it’s fine to have an opinion but actually spreading malicious lies you’ve literally made up for the attention has consequences. What she posted isn’t an inaccuracy, she’s not spreading a rumour she heard down the pub or elsewhere. She literally made it up, she is the epicentre of the whole thing. And that’s why she’s been arrested. Thats the correct context with which to view this ( if it is her as I suspect it is)

AirPods because I found an unregistered pair in my car one Halloween night a few years back and no one ever claimed them Not a massive fan to be perfectly honest but it’s also rare that I use them at all. It would need to be a fairly long solo public transport journey for me to use them.

I’ve been on a fair few in the past and generally I’m all for it. But at the weekend when it was kicking off all over the country, I don’t think it helped. On the Friday night outside the mosque it helped for sure but that was a single event that night and there really weren’t that many of the racists but when there was 2,000 dickheads at the pier head it would have been hard enough to police with one protest not two Yes the Liverpool location was far from ideal.

I certainly was of that opinion because counter protests made things worse at the weekend, the police had two lines to defend, it really did stretch them.

Of course there’s another good reason they didn’t turn up, most of them are likely to either get arrested or help in their future arrest by just being spotted there.
