  1. It's suspiciously absent from the Farage story It would have been an easy out for Coutts, just makes you wonder how much other Russian derived money they are looking after.
  2. They really are coming out with the completely batshit statements lately. The desperation for column inches is hilarious. They are so low in the polls, they figure they can't go much lower so they might as well.
  3. You can get a pressure cooker / airfryer - There's definitely a ninja one of those. There's two types of air fryer really, the bigger round single chamber ones that you can cook a whole chicken in, they are the ones you can get as a combo pressure cooker or the smaller basket ones, most of the smaller basket ones come as doubles that will cook independently of each other. We went for the double basket Ninja because it suits our needs more and the cooking two different things at once option makes it more versatile.
  4. Oh there’s also a load of recipes on the ninja kitchen website which should be easy enough to use in any air fryer
  5. Even stuff like oven chips just cook better in them than the oven. Burgers cook incredibly well as do chicken breasts. I even chuck the burger buns in for a couple of minutes to toast then slightly. With burgers and sausages etc, they do seal really well so you might find you need to pierce them before eating to let the fat sealed in drain out, especially with the thicker burgers Baked potatoes also cook surprisingly well We generally only use the oven now if we're doing a full on roast dinner or the missus is making a cake As someone else said, you just end up cooking most things in it and eating what you used to eat. Sure there’s recipes out there specifically for them but you can bring those in to play later. One thing I do in there are sweet potato fries which we never really could make from scratch before You should have ignored the bad ninja reviews, they will have been written by imbeciles
  6. Same for me, except as far as I know, I'm the first family member born in England on my mothers side On my fathers side, he's Welsh but his parents moved from Gloucestershire and that family we've already traced down the west country to Crewkerne and further west There at some point seems to have been a fairly large exodus from Cornwall to South Wales as my missus has relatives that did exactly that, we've traced them from Cornwall up the West Country to South Wales, we've even discovered people alive today with the same very same obscure Cornish surname who live around Blaenavon, where some of her relatives ended up in this exodus and that family has lived around Blaenavon for generations. We're convinced there's a connection but have yet to make it. I presume the exodus was related to the exhaustion of Tin in Cornwall, so they moved to South Wales where coal mining was booming. Given the similarity between the Welsh and Cornish languages that just seems like an obvious move to make I did one of those DNA Ancestry things and the results were very surprising. I was expecting like most people to have a mixture of countries going back into time but no, my DNA is almost entirely British Isles
  7. Pressure Sounds was set up by Adrian Sherwood with Pete Holdsworth as a subsidiary of On-U Sound to specialise in rereleases. I don't think AMS had the time (or money) to devote to it so the labels went their separate ways They've amassed a great selection of titles since they started. A lot of the recent ones appear to be Yabby You, 6 in about the last 10 I think it is and two of the others were compilations
  8. I sincerely hope they run that as a campaign at some point but I don't see them being in power for at least a decade, possibly a decade and a half, possibly ever again after they lose It really isn't stacking up well for them, their defeat will be worse than 1997 and their recovery much longer if they can even manage it, the demographics really are stacked against them this time I'm also not a fan of the idea either in that it will tie us to FPTP for much longer than I'd hoped
  9. Entirely possible but now they've weaved themselves into such a position it's hard to extract themselves from it and therefore much harder to lead the country in a different direction. They were playing the short game and it will eventually bite them
  10. Agreed, see also recent and current Labour policy on Brexit The tide appears to be turning on that issue but not because of anything Labour did
  11. Etymology of the word Britain Britain (n.) proper name of the island containing England, Scotland, and Wales, c. 1300, Breteyne, from Old French Bretaigne, from Latin Britannia, earlier Brittania, from Brittani "the Britons" (see Briton). The Old English place-name Brytenlond meant "Wales." If there was a Celtic name for the island, it has not been recorded. We literally live on an Island whose name is Big Wales
  12. You've clearly gone native
  13. Shit first bath later surely?
  14. THere's a whole thread dedicated to that...
  15. The economy tanked under Labout due to a global recession caused by the collapse of the sub-prime loan market in the USA I'm not sure how much blame you can lay at Gordon Brown's door for that Very few, if any, countries in the world came out of that unscathed
  16. Not any more both use the standard internationally recognised mile (1.609 kilometers) They did use to be different But just don't look up the differences between an Imperial Gallon, a US Dry Gallon and a US Liquid Gallon
  17. Its a fair assumption that Sunak approved the changes, it wouldn't have happened without him signing off on it.
  18. Thought he came across as a prick tbh, trying to claim he should have won, saying he maybe won some tournaments that he shouldn't have earlier in the season by inference that he should have won that one, even stevens my arse. Don't recall him congratulating the winner either.
