  1. You have to forgive him, he’s from Lapal, a place famous mostly for having a shit unusable SMALL BORE canal tunnel
  2. It’s strange because it’s so detached from reality. I can’t believe that there are people that don’t realise that oop norf has lots of brown people. It’s not like it’s some big secret.
  3. It’s exactly the opposite for me, nails on a blackboard. FM friendly soft middle of the road pop/rock aimed at people with absolutely no taste filter. File alongside Cliff Richard
  4. What censorship? Come on man you have to try and at least justify statements like this. Really what censorship? What have you been prevented from saying by law that you could previously say? Honestly I seriously despair.
  5. I was being creative but yes that too
  6. Then you sir have taken leave of your senses it’s really not about the percentages is it. Liverpool itself is founded on immigration. You’ve obviously heard of the Irish, last time I checked they weren’t you know… British. But shit they are mainly white…they reckon 75% of the population has Irish ancestry, There’s a bit Welsh influence too (ok that is British) The point is that most of the ethnic groups just get along. The British white thing really does mask a lot of other ethnicities that are second and third generation.
  7. Haha this is funny. Liverpool lays claim to the oldest Black and Chinese communities in the country because it was the gateway to the Atlantic during he slaving years and for over century after. This southern bubble of your own perception is just strange
  8. Amplifying views from a particular end of the political spectrum to make those extreme views seem more mainstream than they are is just one of the answers to this question. And yes he is doing that. He also appears to have picked a fight with a very recently democratically elected government and is attempting to undermine that governments attempts to quell social disorder that was in part caused by his social media platform's desire to propagate false narratives in favour of the political opinions he himself favours.
  9. Would you call Boston Rock? Or Muzak for Poodle Parlours?
  10. So it’s more than a feeling then?
  11. Have you ever been to say Blackburn, Bolton, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and god knows how many other towns and cities I can’t be arsed to name? Go there and then tell us the North is full of white people As usual, you are completely wrong
  12. The Triffids - Calenture. The supposed “sell out” album as it was their first on a major (Island) but was it really? Nah. They were back with Gil Norton as producer (Born Sandy Devotional) but they just had major label finances & time. It’s a big wide CinemaScope sound very much of the mid 80s but also a standout album recorded at 6 different studios including Amazon in Liverpool (Kirkby). If you like the idea that Nick Cave meets the Waterboys then this masterpiece is for you nowplaying
  13. Yes, census data is available for regions and even down to council ward level for all kinds of data
  14. The point is that white and Muslim aren’t mutually exclusive. You can be white and Muslim because religion and ethnicity are two different statistical fields. Not all white people are Christian, not all brown people are Muslim. The data exists from the latest census but may not yet be published from 2021 (some of it wasn’t available to the pollsters in Sctland during the election for example). Not a conspiracy, they just haven’t finished publishing the data yet.
  15. Sounds like something I'd hate. Audiophile rocket polishing isn’t something I’d want to engage with
  16. Well that’s pissed on my chips. Marquee Moon is currently £15.99 in HMV (£26 in Norman on coloured vinyl and £28 on clear in RT) Previous price in HMV £35 (it’s currently in a sale)
  17. It's ONLY £29.99 at the Indie HMV … and that’s still at least £10 too much for a back catalogue repress of an album made 50 years ago. The costs apart from the physical materials are vastly reduced. Remember back in the distant past, you used to be able to buy cheaper back catalogue albums in ranges like Nice Price, that’s the way it should be now. My copy of Marquee Moon still has the Nice Price sticker on it and it wasn’t that many years after it was originally released. Sure, it’s quite a thin record but all that audiophile 180g pressing nonsense is a con. My copy of Marquee Moon must be 40+ years old now and still sounds absolutely great. Most people don’t have the ears or the equipment to notice any discernible difference between a normal record and an audiophile pressing. Most of those that claim they can are just pretentious lying knobs.
  18. Yesterdays planned far right “protest” at the Pier Head in Liverpool went ahead Nobody listened to the 4 people that showed up So last week it was approx 500 Midweek it was about 40 Yesterday 4 people shouted at the clouds
  19. Ah feck, had to leave that pub. It was great (the Bear and Billet) until I discovered…. John Lennon grandmother was bloody born here
  20. Pint of Vocation Bread and Butter Ale and half a Madri for the missus £7:20, thought that was a decent price for a pubright by the River Dee in Chester … and as I’m about to post this a picture frame just flew off the wall with no apparent propulsion cause - haunted *Gasp*
  21. Decided to go out for the day, original plan was West Kirby but the Wirral trains were all ballsed up. So decided to wait in town until the issue was resolved which was only about 3/4 hr and then decided to get on the first train that came, so Chester is where we ended up. Let anyone in the city these days, not a deterrent bow and arrow in sight. This rocket polisher was bald and playing country music. Outrageous the vermin they let in the city these days
