  1. I'm really not that bothered how the Labour Party elect their leader, it's up to them. I presume the rule changes were made in a democratic fashion at the party conference? Were Mandelson and Blair spotted stuffing the ballot boxes at conference?
  2. So why did this shadowy cabal of Mandelson and Blair let Ed Miliband beat his brother? I can only presume they got Corbyn in as a huge joke on everyone Or you know, maybe take the tin foil hat off
  3. It's like asking which horse is going to win the Grand National in 2035. Stop asking me the same stupid question
  4. If you expect either of those two to be contenders for the next Labour leadership election then it won't be happening any time this side of 2031 And in all likelihood that goes for any candidate, which is why the question you seem to want an answer to is quite strange
  5. Who is the next Tory Leader? The next LibDem leader? Can you say with 100% certainty? Using the word democratic in a sentence that expects there to be a coronation for the next leader is hilariously silly
  6. Yep, one TikTok account speaks for an entire nation
  7. The last full term parliament 2010-2015 had 21 by-elections. The current parliament is on 19 with a year left. The only almost full term parliament since 1997 that had significantly less was 2001-2005 which was particularly low at 6. The others are all in the high teens I think the difference maybe that most of the ones this time are producing wild results, whereas a lot in safe seats usually get ignored but right now there’s no such thing as a safe seat.
  8. Past practice has been to keep the whip until guilty and instruct not to visit the parliamentary estate
  9. Individual parties rules are irrelevant in a discussion about the electoral system in the UK in general. It's theoretically possible for a party to gain power that doesn't elect it's leader from the membership, in fact the Tory Party was such a party until 2018 when they changed their rules. And even then the membership only gets a vote on the final two
  10. Maybe but I also think in 6 months time it'll be an entirely different story Kneejerk polls like this rarely have the effect they suggest in the aftermath of an event.
  11. The only place where it would be a slight concern is Scotland I think Similarly on a more general politics but related issue, what must literal Nazis be doing to themselves right now, their internal monologue must be tearing themselves to bits over which side to support.
  12. It's also a complete nothing burger if you look at where those allegiances transfer to
  13. Which of the other actors in terms of this topic have?
  14. He had commitment to that song
  15. It's like Xmas decorations, people don't throw them away, they keep them and ad to the collection the following year
  16. I saw them at £1:30 the other day, never anywhere near £8
