  1. I don’t seem to remember Amazon being quite the corporate monolith they now are 12 years ago In the early days they really did operate differently
  2. If my missus had her way we’d listen to Elton John, ABBA and the Pet Shop Boys with a bit of Bowie all the time.
  3. Cmon everyone of a certain age with an interest in music must know Primitive Painters
  4. That Tammy Wynette song should be ringing in her ears by now
  5. The missus inner music critic has been showing itself tonight. How can you listen to that shit? My dear, that is the genius of Lawrence with his latest pop combo Mozart Estate and you are a Philistine. She’s definitely getting the Nightingales next for a full on Brum experience
  6. Actress Annabelle Giles dies suddenly aged 64

Did you get a big surprise?
  8. He'll have to do it in a dinghy paddled by himself all the way from Buenos Aries given the state of their military.
  9. No, she is far right, I'm not sure how else you'd frame a party that is legislating the way it is. The ability to ban any gathering of over 50 people, dressed up as an Anti-rave law, can equally be applied to political parties. She also borrows heavily from Il Duce's phrase book in her sloganeering Fascist might be a bit left of the mark but she really isn't far off
  10. Definitely the HMV price was well north of his websites
  11. As an aside to this, I saw the 40 Year Anniversary Vinyl Greatest Hits triple album in HMV the other week then nearly collapsed at the price Even on his website it's selling at 50 quid. £50 for an album that has zero recording costs and the vast majority of tracks are on all the other greatest hits albums he's bunged out over time The capitalist bastard
  12. Just in the issuing and checking of credentials, the passport office employs over 4,000 people across the UK, more at peak times as they often have temp jobs available
  13. The article is somewhat bollocks, she didn't get elected on an anti EU ticket in the first place, she's an ally of Orban and he's never attempted to take Hungary out of the EU either, in fact on the campaign trail she stated quite a number of times that her Party had no intention of leaving the EU. She's doing exactly as she promised to gay people though, she's not defying any expectations that I can see
  14. Its the first one you're interested in enough to notice. I can show you very similar footage from Ukraine for starters
  15. You realise that isn't just people advising James Cleverly It includes all the Immigration staff, the passport office staff, Border Force (lol), cocky watchmen in public buildings... Just as a quick comparison, given the relative similarity in population. The French Interior Ministry employs 160,000
  16. Yes, iirc it was leaked at the time. Rishi, your saviour really wanted you to die
  17. Well he does go to bed every night and watch Flaghub on his iPad maybe he has his small death before he gets to N
  18. If they were studying a naturally occurring virus, it was "out" before the lab got hold of it
  19. They were previously disbanded in 1998, so in electoral cycle terms its a couple of years early
  20. Yeah, its much harder to get away with that now unless your car is exempt from MOTs (yes that's Taxis!), an MOT test has to be hooked up to a computer and the results recorded live (for emissions tests I think) There is a garage less than half a mile away from where I'm sat right now that was notorious in the taxi trade. It was one of the few approved Taxi testing stations and as long as your car was semi-roadworthy, £20 left in the ashtray would secure a pass from the MOT tester. I don't even think the owners of the garage were aware of what he was up to but he was earning a fortune - 4 tests an hour, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. A good 80% of their trade was taxis. The flipside was also if you didn't leave £20, your car had better be 100% perfect or it was failing
  21. They controlled Gaza at the time. The "we helped them build the tunnels" is a bit disingenuous, they built them for themselves not the Palestinians There's a link I posted days ago to an Israeli website called The Tablet where it's discussed but I can't be arsed searching for it again because you have to rule out all the current dates, I think it was published in 2014 but references comments about it dating back to possibly 2008 and claims the tunnels were built in the 1990s. If my memory serves me correctly, the tunnels were built as Israel's command centre at the time.
