  1. "Seven Minutes To Midnight" by Wah! Heat is the best single The Jam never released. I'll remember that next time I see a certain Mr Wylie Last time I saw I told him he should call his next project Wah! Bother Is he a mate of yours, then? Wouldn't say a mate as such but I know him well enough to say Hi and share a drink at the bar whilst listening to his latest diatribe Havent seen him for a fair few years now to be honest but I used to know him reasonably well and I'm sure now I've started going to gigs on a more regular basis, that our paths will cross once more

  3. anyone wants to pm me as to why Taxis and a rank at VP would be a ludicrous idea then feel free (that includes you General if you feel the need), I'm a bit of an expert in the field, working in the office of the largest taxi firm in western europe as I do i'm sure the black cabs would love to too, I'm sure the potential customers would laugh as the minutes click by at whatever Birmingham's waiting rate is. Theres a reason you can't get a cab outside the ground, you'd need a mortgage before you hit the walsall road sat in all that traffic anyway, don't want to cause a debate on here about it, but its an idea that isn't practical, its also not worthy of debate elsewhere but if anyone wants to know why, just send me a pm
  4. **** me, did you buy the whole shebang? 11cds and a dvd? bejezuz, that wasn't cheap
  5. Some Soul Coughing for breakfast right now its - Casiotone Nation from Ruby Vroom
  6. depends though never at work though and rarely on a PC these days either Mac
  7. You've just reminded me to dig out "Spirit Of Eden". It was Spirit of Eden that reminded me to get Laughing stock out, been lisy=tening to SoE on heavy rotation the last couple of weeks
  8. Now I've had to dig out different drum. I prefer the Evan Dando version. Tune!
  9. After the Flood - Talk Talk (from Laughing Stock) I can feel some Soul Coughing coming up later on too
  10. My ipod just did a spooky shuffle Eden - Talk Talk (from Spirit of Eden for those that don't know) Heroin - Velvet Underground (from Velvet Underground & Nico) play em and tell me theres no connection in the intro's! Never realised it before, probably because I don't store TT and VU in the same musical compartment in my mind and after the intro there is no connection at all
  11. So, did you get Azerbaijan? bizarrely yes, don't ask me how I knew it either or how I guessed it more like, probably because it was none of the other countries beginning with A that I could think of
  12. Blackpool Tower Through the Pier FAO Lancs as discussed Tuesday as you said you hadn't seen it taken with the camera you now have Theres also a few more dotted around that site
  13. The eye of some face on a bank note? (possibly a dollar bill)
  14. not as flabbergasted as people will be whenit all goes completely tits up Wasn't a political decision Nays, if it was a political decision Newcastle would have won, thats why the BBC had the much larger camera crew on the Tyne not the Mersey, thats why liverpools fireworks were a tad delayed, because my mate Eddy who is in charge of such things was told Liverpool wouldnt win. Everyone involved on the ground for the Liverpool bid couldnt have had their flabber more ghasted than it was that night
  15. The picture round in University Challenge is usually a piece of piss, this week it was national football federations badges And I totally disagree with what you've said too, I like photo's that challenge the viewers perception of what it is, I like photo's that ask that question, What is this? Oh and I think you were more talking about the picture round in Ask the family with Robert Robinson, now theres a quiz show thats gagging to be revived ;nod:
  16. Thats the weird thing Al, the dust marks on the sensor before I cleaned it were in the top half of the frame, now they are bigger and down the bottom. Should have just given you the goddam camera without cleaning it Like the photos though  I have some remarkably similar ones to the bottom two (hardy a shock that though) And my bloody ribs are in agony again today, that shot I lay down for wasn't even that good either  Oh and I'll look for that Blackpool tower pic in a bit and post it up
  17. One from today, possibly more to follow
  18. Absolutely nothing about contemporary wedding photography obviously A friend of my daughters sister is getting married and the dreaded words wedding and photography were mentioned in the form of a question at the weekend Fortunately its two years away and they want a reportage style set of photo's
  19. I've been pondering that few a good few minutes since you asked the question. I definitely prefer the composition of the landscape shot but lean towards the portrait shot for the exposure, especially of the couple. What he said
  20. trust me there was one car on the way back to scouseland that had a very happy driver - my four passengers however were sick as the proverbial parrots Good report John too
