  1. To be fair to him, he’s been quite vocal in his criticism of Tory energy / net zero policy since they changed it. He’s one of the Green Tories of the Cameron 2010 intake.
  2. Final vote is Monday I think For the sake of clarity, he was already stepping down anyway and his seat is being abolished at the next election so he's just jumping early for max embarrassment for Sunak and to give him the gift of a bye-election for an utterly pointless seat
  3. Apart from the odd round table style show when have you ever heard a Radio DJ say a song was shit
  4. Popped into town on my way home… absolutely no new releases but I was tempted by this Sandie Shaw - Reviewing The Situation A 1969 album of covers. Which was re-released on RSD 2020 in expanded form (now a double with tracks that didn’t make the original release, a whole extra album of them) This hasn’t been in the shop all that time, apparently some stock came to light that had never been sent out. It does include *spits* B**tles numbers by also includes Lay Lady Lay and what is supposed to be the first ever Led Zep cover (You're Time is Gonna Come). It’s kind interesting
  5. Probably on holiday from Bootle New Strand Shopping Centre
  6. F*** me, a Tory resigning on principal. Chris Skidmore to quit as an MP ASAP in protest at the decision to issue for oil and gas licences. His seat was being abolished under the review anyway (Kingswood, Gloucestershire) good luck finding a candidate for that by-election
  7. Really best known for the cash for access scandal under Blair
  8. Only got it by computer error but that's a whole different story Up to 1st year degree level I'm good though
  9. *cough* geology degree *cough* But I find this rather amazing… I never knew it existed, which considering I did geology at O and A level in Birmingham and it supposedly has one of the finest specimen collections in the country… why was a school trip never organised to go here
  10. RIght, result of the stewards enquiry Joint first place is @choffer (Rolf Harris & Burt Bacharach = 200) and @rjw63 (Mohamed Al-Fayed and Norman Lear = 200) @Paddywhack was third on 150 as previous. There were a few more that got two than I first thought but not that many and @villa4europe did get three but Bob Barker, Henry Kissinger and Shane McGowan only scored 116 between them Spreadsheet needs major surgery before the weekend so I can fix it for next year
  11. I have literally no work to do, so Mooneying FIFA regulations is killing time
  12. it's the Heck 12" Remix of the Lerner Crest I've given up being arsed about such corporate nonsense but it's definitely amateurish It probably saves them rebranding the stuff they haven't rebranded with the new / old round badge The Lerner Crest was shite, so is this. The star shouldn't be in the badge at all it should be separate. What happens if we win the CL next season? Are they going to put two stars there? That'll look dafter still, it'll look like a lion juggling stars. and more importantly, they'll have to change the branding again at huge cost just to accommodate the star.
  13. Not strictly true, it's registered with three, play for two and an exception does exist for leagues with overlapping seasons for playing for three FIFA Regulations For Transfers, Article 5.3 if you want to look up the exact wording
  14. Late October / early November more likely as it has a couple of advantages, extra party conference to spout bollocks and it suppresses the 18-21 vote
  15. So General Election will be 2nd half of 2024. Must have realised spring was a little too early, still don't realise that autumn will just mean even less people voting for them They've delayed it apparently
  16. We aren't behind those clubs, especially as two of those clubs have been relegated According to the last year available (To year end June 2022) Villa's revenue was £238mil of which matchday revenue was £36.4 mil, that's roughly 15% of the total and that compares to a PL average of 13%. So our matchday revenue is above average and when you consider the London clubs are nearly always going to outstrip us here with their pricing and the four North West teams also have massive advantage, we aren't doing that badly on matchday revenue. Matchday revenue isn't where the big gains can be made, thats in the commercial / sponsorship side and that's where Heck should be concentrating his attentions. We will also be in a much better revenue position right now than those 2022 figures due to the success on the pitch
  17. Because its obviously a struggle
