  1. Dreadful, really should be on that terrible maps Twitter. There is absolutely no justification for the lines and the exchange stations, it’s a map for the sake of being a map
  2. Real dilemmas over captaincy this week, 5 mins before the deadline I was on Palmer but shit out and went Haaland. Also dropped Dougie to the bench to play Watkins / Haaland / Solanke up front and chose Estupinan over Botman but given Gomez is in the starting line up and is likely not to play (he’s one of the ones with Flu apparently), Botman likely to come in anyway. First time for weeks I've had choices tbh, freaked me out a bit Went Gordon to Foden and rolled my other FT, again wasn’t sure between Foden and Jota but Liverpools upcoming blank decided that for me I think. Still have 2mil in bank (was 4) I know Liverpool have a double coming up next week but the blank the following week would have meant a potentially very weak team for the blank given I have others blanking that week too
  3. Form is most definitely temporary Wordle 965 5/6*
  4. King of the Kerb, indie disco classic. The rest is pretty forgettable but at least whateverhername is could actually sing which puts them several rungs above the two
  5. Oh come on, I'm no fan of Echobelly but certainly wouldn't put them in that bracket
  6. It seems the conversation has swung to dogging confessionals
  7. Yep that whole report is pretty devastating for Biden
  8. He’s actually a personal friend for starters, he’s also now married to another friend But if you haven’t heard of the Pale Fountains and Shack then… I also predict the new album might hit the charts in quite a high position, it may finally be his year, he deserves it. Edit: oh and the missus was in the same class as him in primary and secondary it turns out too
  9. Another personal favourite, went to a gig in here once. I drive passed it very often. Shame no-one has ever found a good use for it but they can’t demolish it as it’s listed (or they can but this isn’t Birmingham) The Tate and Lyle Sugar Silo
  10. Sounds like OMDs last great album (and it was indeed their third)
  11. A personal favourite of mine. Building or sculpture? Architecture or Art? La Tete Carrée (Square Head) - The Library of Nice Its claim is to be a number of firsts First building to be made entirely of aluminium First building to be raised using Naval Dockyard technology FIrst inhabited monumental sculpture
  12. On the subject of Brutalism and Birmingham Library, it was only ever a Brutalist building because of Government cuts, specifically Govt cuts to the funding of Birmingham in order to promote investment into other areas of the UK like the North East. The original design idea was that it should be clad in Portland Stone, if that had been the case I suspect it would never have been earmarked for demolition in the first place, it would never have been described by the uncultured as a dump and would have been considered an iconic building in Birmingham
  13. Hmm yes, that name seems familiar to the story I remember, so that must be it then. COuldn't be bothered using a search engine for blose shite, it would ruin my results
  14. Yep, I knew it was Harry Lauder but I think they first sang it at the sty about some Scottish player in the 1920s
  15. "Most people" is not a metric you should use to judge future cultural heritage
  16. I think the humour in Loudermilk is very British, I suspect there are huge swathes of America that just wouldn't understand it
  17. The chances of that at this stage are almost as remote as a Tory win. This is no longer about votes to win, the game has gone beyond that, there is no wooing to do.
  18. Nah, it goes back to some Scottish player in the 1920s, Gordon someone possibly iirc
  19. We used to have Dog licences until they were abolished. It was a perfectly normal thing
  20. This isn't about votes, this is about limiting what he can be criticised for in terms of unfulfilled manifesto pledges after the election. It's almost unfathomable that Labour won't be the next government at this stage.
  21. #metoo the third album proved to be very difficult though
