Some rather well known Music Biz types started out as ticket touts There’s one I know who has been rather big on the dance music scene for decades that was a tout for years and his brother and dad. He's become a big festival promoter. Owns at least 8 festivals, not all in this country. I remember him outside venues “got any spares”

Yes but your personal experience is absolutely irrelevant, it isn’t a guide to any degree of what is normal My daughter lives in London and never met her landlord because he lives in a different country. He’s never inspected the flat either. My personal experience is different to yours.

I’ve lived in this flat 18 months and never met the landlord. This isn’t even managed. We communicate via WhatsApp. They’ve never inspected the place since I’ve moved in, they’ve sent the relevant workmen if required. It could be full of mould for all they know.

No idea who this is but landlords do use letting agents to manage properties so they don’t have to get involved. It’s really not that incredulous
