  1. Yes but my point was that he was effectively a Tory anyway I do agree with your general point but I just think frank Field is a particularly bad example being as he was very much in the Kate Hoey / in completely the wrong party group of Labour MPs It's likely that Corbyn might go against that and other recent examples of that not being the case that spring to mind are... Carswell and Reckless who both resigned their seats and the Tory Party then got re-elected as UKIP candidates. I wouldn't include David Davis because he stood virtually unopposed
  2. And lets also not forget her tenure as Home Secretary, just because Patel, Barverman et al were worse, it was still her that introduced the "Hostile Environment", She was the precursor to what followed
  3. He jumped before he was pushed, he was a Tory in the Labour Party, the only reason he kept getting elected was he was the Labour candidate. He was absolutely getting deselected by the local party anyway. He was once named by the Telegraph as the 100th most influential right winger in the UK. The Tories tried to get him to defect to them but he refused He was a Tory with a red rosette
  4. Come to Liverpool / AKA the moon, even blind people can tell when they've just crossed the border into a neighbouring borough
  5. He’s only 9 months and 2 days, it was a rounding error
  6. Nah, you can knock those up in seconds from a template and data
  7. I've been overpaying this year (because of their f*** up), I think I'll continue to do so this month and report next month
  8. Should say former candidate really, he wasn't running this time around
  9. I thought the 8,000 houses were specifically for Barking Riverside? Genuine question btw I've probably just assumed this I ask the question because they've already built the station at the end of the DLR but haven't yet built the homes and I wouldn't put it past this govt to announce something that was already announced Also there is currently a new consultation underway to extend the DLR via a tunnel under the Thames to Thamesmead, yes Thamesmead doesn't have a rail connection currently but it is literally down the road from Abbey Wood which is already on the shiny new Elizabeth line and the distance from Thamesmead to Abbey Wood is much less than an awful lot of people in the UK have to travel to a 2 trains a day station. Abbey Wood to Canary Wharf, -> minutes. Why build a tunnel at the cost of over a Billion quid
  10. Nope, remind me who owns 9% of Adidas shares, all that’s happened is the Castore deal was ended a season early because of the poor shirts and the Adidas deal was brought forward a year, it was happening with or without Heck. It really isn’t some great Heck achievement
  11. Continuing in the Sherman vibe - On-U Sound release this time. Update: 35 records that feature Bim Sherman. Also…sheeeeeit, the value of this album has shot up. It's never been rereleased on vinyl to my knowledge. I bought this, I'm guessing in around 1985 (released 1982) for £6.29 it’s now fetching between £50 -£80+ Last time I checked it was in the £20-30 range! I should also point out that this is a marvellous album and my copy plays perfectly
  12. You wanted evidence, I was clearly wrong
  13. Bim Sherman - Exploitation A fairly straight up roots (with slight Dub inflections) reggae album from one of the sweetest Jamaican voices ever. Theres nothing particularly remarkable about this but what actually shocked me was how many records I own with Bim singing I own. Now I'm a collector of On-U Sound but still, it’s nearly 50 different records, now most of those aren’t Bim Sherman albums but Adrian Sherwood used him in an awful lot of his projects.
  14. Wasn't true the Chelsea shirt bit but yes the thought of David Mellor breathing even revolts me
  15. I still find the idea of John Major and Edwina Currie bang at it rather more disconcerting
  16. They won't need a very big washing machine if the car gets taken out on day one and smashed up, not only that, they'd have to have insurance that covered rental. Insurance of a rental Lambo is going to be....big numbers. The insurance company aren't going to take cash. Even if you manage to pay for a Lambo cash in hand, which I doubt as the seller is instantly going to attract attention from the Inland revenue as soon as he deposits that money, which will trigger an investigation into the current owner of the vehicle. Sorry it's just too far fetched.
  17. The rabid base wasn't always THAT rabid either, some peoples circumstances change for the worst and they get caught up in the cult of Trump. I'll wager the alternative subset of voters that voted Trump previously to get him elected and will now vote Biden is much larger. Another way of looking at it is that Trump alienates far more Republicans than Biden alienates Democrats
  18. You have a huge back catalogue to catch up with, we'll see you in a few weeks. They are very British in their references (some might say vey Wirral / Merseyside too). In fact if I ever have to do one of these British Values tests like my missus is having to for work, I'm just going to quote HMHB lyrics at them. Golden rule: There is a HMHB song for every occasion
  19. Yep the phrase Pre-Budget Purdah appears to be irrelevant these days
  20. This gets worse... Microsoft (via the Indie I think)
  21. It's also the most racist country I've ever visited, many years ago at the end of the 80s but I've seen absolutely nothing that would change my opinion
