  1. No I'm saying the idea of a multiuse stadium that can be used for masses of other events is an absolute fantasy for a top tier football club, especially one located in Birmingham There really is only a small window of opportunity each year for a football stadium to be used for other events and there really is a lack of events that would be interested in a Birmingham location
  2. London or Birmingham, London will win 99% of the time. Birmingham is an hour from London by train. Rapid cross country transport is Londoncentric.
  3. 1. The volume of these events do not exist 2. Birmingham's catchment area is no bigger than Cardiff's and Manchester is much better placed for a date on a 2/3 date tour by a massive international artist (usually London / Manchester / Glasgow). We aren't in the middle of the country when you consider London's catchment area, in fact Birmingham is pretty much in London's catchment area. 3. We're also in an era where many international artists are skipping the UK completely because... Brexit
  4. France is secular and has been since 1905
  5. I think ISIS attack. The US and allies warned of an imminent attack and pretty much described it Putin even publicly suggested it was nonsense and propaganda by the US. What would the motivation be to then let that attack happen, I get it as a false flag and that has happened before it’s not beyond Putin at all but in these circumstances, I really don’t get that. I also don’t get the slow response, if Putin wanted to allow the attack then you’d be better off stopping it at the start to prove how great you are at protecting the people rather than what actually happened. The slow response time really doesn’t look good for Putin So for me ISIS attack, incompetent response but I have no idea if those are the real terrorists that were caught It would be just too odd for the US to warn of an attack and then Russians deny it as propopganda and then carry out a false flag attack of their own that matched it. That would just be really strange
  6. How many of these events do you see taking place per year at say, the Principality Stadium in Cardiff? A venue that hosts about 5 -10 matches a year in its main reason to exist, has a retractable roof and all that gubbins and do they host concerts during the two International Rugby windows in their calendar. I'll give you a clue, about 7 or 8 in a much bigger window and No they don’t . Then consider how many acts of the magnitude required actually tour in any given year (some out of not many) Its a fantasy
  7. The capacity of a WM Metro 5 section Urbos unit is 210 people and they run at 10 minute intervals. I really hope someone does that particular piece of maths before they base building a. 70k+ football stadium on closeness to a metro line
  8. This is pure fantasy, it is incompatible with being a football club to host concerts all year round unless this is a completely different auditorium to the actual football. You can’t just flick a switch and a gig happens, you can’t even now with massive advances in grass technology just lay a new pitch one day and play on it the next. There’s a window of opportunity for three maybe four weeks at the end of a season for a football club to host stadium gigs. Three maybe four concerts in that window maximum. One of those gigs would probably gross a million quid for the club tops. It’s not the income stream you imagine it to be. .
  9. It’s all about keeping the factions happy, a nutty faction lost a throbber in a position so hey wanted another throbber in that position.
  10. Dunno, you might just find flying from Switzerland to the UK might become incredibly cheap
  11. Halfron even quoted Lord Of The Rings casting himself as Gandalf FFS
  12. It is a classic of its genre but as it’s a genre I’m not a huge fan of. There’s much better electronic music out there in very similar vein that is much better. Much prefer Leftfield or F**k Buttons or even Blanck Mass
  13. Robert Halfrom just resigned as a minister and James Heappey resigns his non-cabinet ministerial role too Something is afoot
  14. Keep it that way, take it from me it’s utter bobbins. But you definitely will have heard it and already hate it
  15. If it’s under warranty why didn’t you just take it to Ford anyway?
  16. I shan't be sorry when that makes any sense.
  17. Why would repairing and maintaining a world heritage site be getting special treatment?
  18. Genuine question, who decides when the writ is moved for a by-election when it is an independent MP. It seems it was the Govt Chief Whip for Pincher in Tamworth, was that because he was elected as a Tory? It would actually make sense if the by-election was May 2nd at the same time as local elections, today was the last day for a GE on May 2nd so it should be possible to hold it then
  19. Yep and I'm fairly sure the letters are all automated, so they’ll keep coming until a human steps in and puts a stop to it. Congrats btw
  20. Scott Benton (Blackpool South) just resigned his seat. He’d have been pushed anyway on the recall petition but it’s potentially brought the by-election forward Not sure why it’s getting the headlines it is though, “Another By-Election Nightmare for Rishi” etc. It was going to happen anyway.
