  1. Actor Bernard Hill, 79
  2. On the Up, staring Dennis Waterman. Dreadful
  3. Reform maybe, LibDems not I think. People are voting LibDem because the Tories have moved to the right and the LibDems either now represent them better or they are in second place in that area.People are voting Reform because (in theory) the Tory party haven’t moved right enough (there are other reasons which aren’t worth the gunfight)
  4. Worcestershire isn’t in the mayoral region and the rules are that the Mayor must have lived in he region prior to the election I think. But if he has a residence in Birmingham that should be ok anyway. I've had neighbours in the flat opposite ours since January that I’ve never seen. I’ve certainly never knowingly seen over 50% of the people that live in my road. Neighbours word of mouth is not evidence of anything.
  5. Local Mayoral issues are just that. The Manchester and West Mids mayoral roles aren’t exact replicas of each other. There’s no PCC in Manchester because the Mayor has that role for example. Burnham will get more publicity because his role is far more wide ranging. I don’t know about West Mids responsibility for Clean Air Zones but in Meseryside that is retained by the local authorities and not the Metro Mayor, in Manchester they are Burnham’s responsibility. I suspect the West Mids is the same as Merseyside. That whole issue is a complete mess. Think about it, one charge for the whole of GM, six different charges for Merseyside, and how ever many charges for the West Mids. The blame for that lies with the individual local authorities that didn’t pass those responsibilities on in the negotiations.
  6. Well I do agree there’s an upside to it, people think it’s closer than the polls suggest, they might actually get off their arse and vote
  7. Except they haven’t. But that’s for the dedicated thread
  8. The point I’m making is that Uber killed a lot of companies, there are less and less options
  9. This narrative the Tories are pushing that the situation is closer than the polls is hilarious Youve just been thrashed from one side of the country to the other And that extremely flawed Projected National Share stat the BBC keeps pushing isn’t helping
  10. This is pure Thick (of it) from Sue Ellen. Sunak needs to change course, the plan isn’t working. You mean the plan that you and your ilk pushed him into? The staggering lack of self awareness is astonishing. Lower Taxes…. Er you remember Liz Truss? Cap on Migration. Sunak's plan on immigration is your f***ing plan, it hasn’t changed, it’s yours! She seems to think that they need to move to the right… that clearly got roundly rejected by the electorate only this week. She seems to think that they lost vote to the right (Reform). Dimwit, they’ve lost far more votes to Labour and the LibDems (and even Green)
  11. Tipping slaves is a new thing obviously
  12. You know when you know there’s an early deadline and you’re just about to make your transfer and changes then the shit hits the fan at work and you have to have multiple phone calls and jump in to fix the issues… then you finish, look at the time and it’s 2 mins past the deadline… yeah that happened Already 30 points down this week on where I should be. Haaland not captained and Saka on the bench. If someone could shoot Darwin Nunez so he doesn’t play a single minute that would be helpful
  13. What if it’s say £5.50?
  14. Wordle 1,051 6/6* Almost another failure
  15. The real danger that no one has dared mention in the media today is that if they replace him, they'll likely need another leader again after the election. The supposed replacement of Mordaunt isn’t going to win Portsmouth North at the General Election
  16. So it’s the Tories that have asked for the bundle check that is delaying the West Mids result
  17. Not seen this reported much if at all. In the newly reconstituted Bristol Central Constituency (a lot of it was previously Bristol West), The Green Party won every single ward in the local elections. Labour MP and Shadow Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport, Thangam Debbonaire who is the candidate in the new seat might just be a little bit worried.
  18. BBC up to their usual tricks, all day it’s been It’s looking close in London, Tory sources say it’s going to be close blah blah blah. London results come in ”Well the Tories were briefing against that optimist all night” but you waited until now to tell us, almost 20 hours later, Representatives for North East Somerset Khan is going to walk this London election and given that he was already on high figures and now has a 6% swing in his favour
  19. Ballsed up third guess there, might have been a three otherwise Wordle 1,050 4/6*
  20. Some mother's do 'ave 'em It was absolutely cringeworthy even as a small child feck me I hated it
  21. In relation to the above, this is him playing one of the tracks live. On my list of people I want to see but never have
  22. Ore -Andrea Belfi Italian percussionist. This guy is amazing, he’s one of those percussionists that plays everything you hear, there are lots of samples fired in from his kit, it’s very trippy sounding electronica but he’s a drummer essentially. This album is absolutely amazing. I searched for a good while to find this as once I’d heard a couple of tracks I just had to have it.
