  1. It does"nt work like that over here. I get lots of stick In Perth? Who the f**k from??
  2. Ireland is without doubt the most Intelligent player (on the pitch) we've had since Merson.
  3. We'll lose, it's just a matter of by how much. After AM's comments about "being realistic" about beating teams like Arsenal, this has proved what we all suspected, that our manager has no intention of us even trying to beat a big team.
  4. Wonder if Martinez said the same after Wigan's game at Liverpool? Disgrace.
  5. I think the rules have changed on Liscencing for showing Prem games in pubs which is a shame as Rococco was great place for watching Villa away games. Apparently pubs etc are only allowed to legally show one 3pm game now.
  6. To be fair if we took 209 we'd still out-sing the home crowd
  7. Not sure how you can't rate someone who took us from relegation bound (i.e. where we are now) to 6th and europe in consecutive appearances with a cup final and FA Cup semi final. Whether you like MON or not, you must be able to admit the guy is a fantastic manager. I've already been over why I don't rate him a thousand times. Other people on here have been over it as well and their reasons match my own. You talk about MON being a fantastic manager as if it's some kind of fact - it isn't. The only fact here (and some would probably even debate that) is that he's better than McLeish. Well firstly I havnt studied individual people's thoughts on certain topics - and it seems that we'll be disagreeing on what determines what a "fantastic" manager is. For me, MON taking us to 6th consecutively, in europe consecutively, cup final and semi final etc does represent fantastic management considering what he inherited. Likewise at Sunderland - most of their fans, I'm sure, as do the media, pundits etc feel that MON has done a fantastic job in turning round Sunderland. I know people have their views on why they don't rate MON - but I'm sure they were happier when we had him and we challenging for top 4 places then fighting relegation with the two managers we've had since.

  9. This is so true, and sums up Villa at home this season. You just know that we can never ever relax during a game anymore and are so unlikely to ever be in a position of being two goals ahead. Even if we did you fear AM wouldn't ever have a plan for that situation (i.e. Arsenal in cup) and we'd surrender it. Just need to win to pull us firmly out of any relegation scrap. Although whether the game even goes ahead anymore will be determined over events over the next few hours and that is without question the most important talking point of this game.
  10. the really worrying thing was he collapsed with nobody round him. it reminds me of marc vivien foe, I hope he is okay really worrying times. poor lad is only 23. I hope he is alright That's exactly what came to my mind straight away. Praying its not the same outcome.
  11. Horrible scenes at WHL. Lets hope he pulls through. Really sombre atmosphere around the ground
  12. Ireland is our most intelligent player without doubt. We need him for next season for sure.
  13. Is it still be shown on Sky as before?
  14. I struggle in seeing us picking up 18 more points in the remaining fixtures to match last years total mind. McLeish is not going to improve on last seasons position like he said he hoped to at start of season. We amassed 12 wins last season, we have 6 so far, can't see another 6 from the fixtures we got coming up. 100% THIS.
  15. Ha! find one of my quotes to support this argument. It was a question, not a statement. Its fair to say we all support the club but the actions of our board in appointing AM set us up for epic failure - what we witness each and every game currently is failure. Shitting it about Fulham at home! What have we become!!
  16. Does anyone know of any pubs in London that are showing the game? My usual local of Famous Three Kings in West Ken is showing all Prem games except Villa! Typical. Any suggestions would be welcome!
  17. You have a grand to piss away on a bet?! Why not its no good being the richest man in the graveyard besides i really do think its a banker with minimal risk I bet i'd get shafted though and fate would conspire against me if i did place it and Bolton would go on an unbeaten run Well they're gonna get 3 pts against us in a couple of weeks so that wont help your nerves!
  18. Can only see a draw at best. I expect defeat and Blackburn will bully us. AM needs to play Nzogbia and Ireland. Ireland can play the role Keane has - he's the most intelligent player in our team - but AM is too often stubborn as we saw at Wigan. We cant play Bannan, Gardner and Alby all together in our midfield - its too weak and Blackburn will expose this. I feel a defeat is coming on Saturday.
  19. Cheers lads, may have to hit Rococco - but as I live in London and am coming to see my family in Bromsgrove I was hoping they'd have somewhere near there showing it - apparently not. Ah well, Rococcos usually good for getting the numbers in....and will make a change from me being surrounding by Chelsea and (would you believe) Fulham fans in W. London.
  20. Anyone know any pubs showing the game?
  21. As SAF will be at the helm of getting the new manager in I cant see him going for Jose Mourinho purely because there's no longevity with his work - Fergie and Man Utd will want someone who could potentially be there for the long term so I cant see Mourinho being chosen, he'd be thee 3 years max.
