  1. Albrighton tires himself out so much with endless running which results in poor delivery and final balls. He never scores or assists and is weak on the ball. Whilst he didn't look too bad tonight - he was up against the worst team in the league (in my opinion). Gabby was off the pace all game and I honestly don't think there's another striker in the world who wouldn't hit his chance first time - it was on a plate. Absolutely awful. This definitely feels like two massive points dropped -mainly due to the fact we have to write off all home games as a loss such is our dire record. We are so much better with Vlaar its unreal - great to see him get 90mins...he naturally brings the best out of Baker and Clark when he's next to them - just a shame he's so injury prone. Newcastle, Chelsea and City on the horizon - **** my life. We need points from Newcastle and Norwich else its going to be so painful in March.
  2. I agree. As much as I am pleased to have Lambert in charge and I hope we have him for the long term - his pressers are unbelievably dull. Its the same stuff each week - the only reason I pay £4.99 per month is for the pre-match press conferences but its just constant mumblings from Lambert. Pete Colley asks the right questions but Lambert always runs them down with mumblings of evasion. The we get Captain Jack whose over enthusiasm for the next game just seems to make Lambert roll his eyes and do his utmost to avoid the chat.
  3. Exactly how I feel. It's so frustrating.
  4. Am I the only person who's not that surprised by this scoreline? The commentators speaking like its the biggest shock of all time. A team facing relegation earns a hard fought draw against a mid table team who have under performed all season.
  5. Was hoping for a United win purely for this reason.
  6. Jones, Bellamy, Zaha etc will give us a very very tough game
  7. Clueless and in a massive scrap to stay in the league. Just awful.
  8. This is exactly how I see it. Hammers are doing a "Villa" on us and hitting us on the counter attack. We lack any inventiveness going forward and on the few occasions we had the ball on the deck we could only pass it sideways. This is perfectly set up for Hammers nicking it. Collins is simply bossing Benteke, Jarvis and Downing are causing lots of problems down our flanks and overall they just seem to "want it" more than us. Much better needed for second half - but i'm struggling think where/how we can improve. This, I fear will also be the case when Stoke, Norwich and Hull come to VP. We're too easy to play against when we're at home. Lambert needs to think around this.
  9. Whilst Baker may be a 'tough nut' its quite clear that his 'nut' isnt tough.
  10. Without doubt if Hammers had Man City, Chelsea or Arsenal this weekend then they wouldn't be looking to take it to arbitration - its clearly a ploy to get the suspension on hold - thus allowing him to play. The decision has been upheld by the F.A so it would make them look bad if this was over ruled - as well as Howard Webb. Do we know when a decision will be made about his availability this weekend?
  11. Problem is i'm far from convinced Baker can complete the whole game without getting injured. I expect to see Lowton brought in at CB to partner Clark after 26minutes after Baker goes off with a head injury.
  12. Herd isnt the worst dm. Rather him than sylla I think ozvillafan means Herd at CB...
  13. Are we no going to see him this season at all?
  14. Love the guy. He's so great for the game.
  15. Hasn't been decided yet, but reports were the Webb seen it again and said it was a sending off. So unless West Ham buy the panel I do not know how this card can get rescinded. It's not Webb's decision though is it?
  16. We definitely cant be giving a two goal lead away at Everton. They're way too organised to allow us back in as WBA did.
  17. We usually perform quite well at Goodison so i'm hoping we take the confidence and belief from the Baggies game into this. Everton are a great team and even without their injuries they'll be very very difficult to beat. Martinez is very astute and rarely lets Villa get the better of him - it will be tough. Gabby being back would be a bonus for us - as I thought Bacuna was very poor last night. Weimann seems to have his confidence, touch and industrious nature back - so im sure we can cause one or two problems if we getinto the right positons. Lukaku being out (as its reported he is likely to be) is a bit of a relief (not wishing him any harm as he's fantastic to watch) as he would target Clark and bully him. With the win last night it eases the pressure a tad which will hopefully mean we try and play with a bit of freedom. It will be an interesting game i'm sure, and a close one too. Id bring Gabby back (assuming he is fit) and keep the rest as they are. Go like we did at Anfield. Bertrand has made us look so much better at the back and shows how keen he is to link up going forward. Jags and Benteke will naturally battle. If we avoid defeat then it will have been a very positive past few games and would help us get nearer to the safety zone. Everton v Villa is usually a good footballing game and I expect the same - with goals from both sides. We go again.
  18. This is what I was going to say. They had a huge celebration thing before the game and they all had flags and balloons and stuff. Then yeah we were 4-1 up and singing happy birthday. I think even the Spurs fans clapped us for that. But it all went down hill after that. I broke my mom's coffee table when they scored the equaliser in that game. To this day that game is the single most frustrating game of my life. I woke up about 2 am and started punching my pillow as I was still unbelievably furious at how we threw that 1-4 lead away. But yeah great chant.
  19. was it even an injury? I just thought he had a really bad knock after he fell through the ads He was subbed with an injury. Yeah "a really bad knock" that causes him to be taken off is definitely an injury. Hope he's back.
  20. Does anyone know how Gabby's recovering from his injury? He is key to our threat so we really need him.
  21. So are we thinking that the Hoolahan 'saga'/transfer is a slow burner rather than a no-goer?
  22. Id rather be facing an out of sorts uninterested anelka than his likely replace berahinho tbh, good player him. Good point.
