Dixon is the modern day Lawrenson - trying to make funny comments to put down the commentator or presenter - just comes across like a clearing in the woods.
Just seen JC's interview with Captain Jack. Always like hearing players talk us up (I know they have to but its still nice) and say how big a club we are, how great our support is etc. As one or two have mentioned on here, if played right and he can stay fit then JC could be of good use to us...a player who can unlock doors and hopefully work well with our youngsters. Could especially be of use at home when we're trying to break teams down.
What's perhaps encouraging about trying to get Rio is that we seem willing to throw a bit of money on experience and wages for a quality player who would undoubtedly improve us. Hopefully we continue in this manner for future recruits. I imagine the ploy is to get some experience in at a decent wage to hopefully keep us solid and afloat until the so-called impending takeover.
Brilliant. Half of these pundits make their opinions up on the spot without giving any insight or true thought and reasoning behind their comments.
I'd be surprised if you get these sorts of conflicting comments from the likes of Neville
The only reason I wouldn't mind QPR coming up would be because its a local ground to where I live. It's a good away day with a good atmosphere...but if they don't make it then it'll be interesting to see if 'Arry stays another year in the Championship considering there'll be a few Prem clubs needing a manager.
A view from the home end: I was given tickets to a swanky box today (meal, free booze etc) in the North Stand which is opposite the Villa end and spent the entire game feeling proud of our amazing supporters
- a true credit to our club and came out with some cracking songs. All the Spurs fans were applauding the Villa fans throughout and laughing along with us. It was great to see our amazing support from the outside looking in and made me one proud Villan today. Well
Done to all our away fans for today and the whole season - we're really getting a great name for our travelling support and that is something to be very proud of.
May just be me but he seems dejected and as though he has given up. One thing he doesn't play down is Lerner's announcement that's coming up within the next week
Win. Lose. Or draw. Let's just get the season over with.
Most likely a comfortable win for Spurs. Be good to see Grealish and Robinson get more game time. Oh and why the hell are we on Sky?
Weimann simply must be played down the centre...Saturday showed how decent he is there, his movement, his vigour and his enthusiasm (that we were used to seeing last year) all came back on Saturday. That said, Kompany could probably have him for breakfast...
