  1. Perfect game for Spurs. 2-0
  2. For me all the talk about the fixtures of ourselves and the teams around us isn't comparable. The problem with our run in is who we are and how we play. Our manager is tactically naive and we simply can't get near any teams that aren't fighting relegation - I just feel that all the teams around us would fare much better in our fixtures than we will. There's no shocks in this Aston Villa team and tonight we've squandered the one game we should've been winning comfortably. I can't see us getting out of this as the likes of Everton and West Ham will capitalise on our nervousness and desperation and undoubtedly roll us over. Not to mention the usual drubbing at Man City and Spurs. I expect us to be in the bottom three in two weekends time and I can't see us getting back out of it.
  3. Sherwood outthought tactically by Ramsey based on his half time talk. His selection of Richardson is just madness and cost us the game. Had no faith in us winning this before the game but after watching our first half we should've been out of sight. Ramsey packed the midfield second half and nullified our creation. Once they drew level the writing was on the wall. A draw just is not good enough and we're down.
  4. Can anyone see Austin not scoring? He's been excellent this season and can score all kinds of goals - out of nothing. Thing is QPR must win this game too - seeing as they also have some very tough games coming up. Looking at their forums their fans seem to share our thoughts that a loss is unthinkable, a draw unhelpful but a loss unthinkable. This is just a huge game. They'll fancy nicking it against us - but it means they will have to come at us. Absolutely gutted to not have Westy and Sinclair as they are both vital for us, especially in games against those teams around us.
  5. We need three in our middle. With Westwood injured id go with Delph, Cleverly and Sanchez and ask Sanchez to sit behind the other two. Delph needs some freedom to get forward as he did against Baggies in the cup. I think we're worse without Westwood though which worries me.
  6. He seems to think he can beat his chest and demand more effort and that alone will carry us over the finish line. Yet he shows great nativity in his selection, subsititutions and style of play.
  7. Lose or draw this and we're down I believe. After Swansea and United plus QPR's big win at Baggies it's hard to see us turning this around with the very tough fixtures coming up.
  8. Every team in the league would stand a chance of getting something here except us. We simply do not cause any shocks anymore. With Okore injured and Clark one tackle away from a suspension we are really struggling to put out a defence. I do worry we could be in for a pasting here if Tim sets us up to go for it. Whatever team we field I can't see past a very comfortable win for United.
  9. We've got the QPR game sandwiched in between remember. That truly is a must-win at this point. 100% agreed.
  10. Hull have really riled Chelsea up. Can easily see Cahill picking up a second yellow. Chelsea look completely scared of Hull now. Yesterday was so important for us to not lose - but once again we showed how incapable we are (this season) at handling our own forune. This season teams aren't helping us atall. I'm convinced that no other team around us would lose to Stoke, Newcastle and Swansea.
  11. Everton just took the lead. More of the same please.
  12. Usual loss and the first of a horrible batch of results on the horizon. Tim really needs to think about packing the midfield against the better teams and trying to get a draw. Just have no faith atall, sadly.
  13. It's as if they are desperate to try and recreate the Top Gear atmosphere in the studio but it all seems abit weird. They also rely heavily on having a sharply dressed Jamie Redknapp papering over the fact that he talks utter shit.
  14. Heard rumours yesterday about Benteke being out for the season. Please tell me this isn't true?
  15. Sherwood could learn from him. There is no use giving away your gameplan in the media. 100%.
  16. He was asked in his presser why he left Gil out and he said "Because I preferred someone else. I pick the team and its up to Carles to convinve me in training that he warrants a starting place".
  17. Agree with what someone said above, in that if we score early (unlikely) it would disrupt their game plan and force them to open up and come at us. Sadly, as we cant hit a cow's arse with a banjo it'll likely be a close game that we find a way of throwing away.
  18. Vlaar will be back for this wont he?
  19. Why didn't Gil play against Newcastle? Was it tactical or is there more to it? From what Sherwood has said we need to get on the front foot from the off against the Baggies so I expect (hope) Gill plays -he's by far our most effective and creative player.
  20. A close game that will inevitably result in them grabbing an away win. We simply won't be able to break them down. Pulis will ensure hey won't concede and we will, naturally, run out of ideas.
  21. Sacked Lambert too late. Pulls working miracles at Baggies as he instantly made them very hard to beat. Sherwood has been talking about Spurs too much since he arrived. We appointed the wrong man. We're fading away in the Prem.
  22. Please dont use the term "go down" - its giving me nightmares
  23. The acting on adverts. Why?? Just why do people think we're so gullible to believe these actors being overly cheesy in ads. They act as far removed from reality as possible and it just comes across utterly patronising.
