  1. We aren't scoring tonight unless he makes early changes. Far too pedestrian and far too sloppy with the ball. McGinn gave the ball away 5 times in the 1st 10 mins. Thankfully he has improved. Many others have not
  2. Grealish, Traore and El Ghazi all guilty of slowing play down when we are breaking - very fristrating
  3. The ball passed within about 2 feet of where he stood. Had he stood hois ground rather than backing off the ball would have been at his feet. Something a more experienced cb would have done.
  4. He should have made the 8nterception about 15 seconds earlier rather than backing off. His decision making is brutally poor. He still thinks hes a lb half the time
  5. Isn't that what we signed watkins for? He's never where you'd expect to find the lone striker
  6. Take a bow Tyrone once again at the heart of a conceded goal. A must replace for me in this window. I think we are better defensively without him
  7. Yes, but unrelated. I never wanted DS here, i've not enjoyed the majority of his tenure, and i still feel, based 9n what we see week in, week out, that he is not the man to take us back to greatness - i just dont rate him. Yeah, maybe those who say he has no faith in the players outside the first 11 are right. However, he signed most of them, so that also on him. Much of the recruitment since his arrival has been dire. I can't think of many gems, if any tbh.
  8. Yep, Liverpool allowed us to play and left huge spaces. We also had the rub of the green with the chances we gave them, and they missed - even the best have off days. The true measure of a manager for me, is having the knowhow and the courage to change things and Dean Smith does not.
  9. The players finishing was abysmal today. Truly shocking. What Ive learnt from today: 1. Watkins is not good enough for this level 2. El Ghazi is not good enough for this level 3. Traore needs more time to adjust but does not look good enough for this level 4. The game was crying out for an attacking player who can shoot/score yet out best goalscoring player on the bench stayed there 5. Dean Smith still does not know or does not have the balls to change things Yes, the players missed a lot of chances, and should be ashamed of some that were missed. But players have off days in front of goal from time to time. What really gets me is that Burnley never really looked dangerous and we were creating chances. Dean Smith needs to pick up on this, and introduce fresh players earlier. If we introduce Hourihane for El Ghazi, Traore or Nakamba at 60 minutes, I'd stake my house on him creating a goal or scoring one. Ramsey could have come in and created something, hell, he was good enough to start last week so its not like the manager does not rate hit. Davis was brought on and plauyed right wing... I mean WTAF? Why not put 2 up top? Why not play a narrow 3 in midfield, with jack in the hole behind 2 strikers? Why not do something different for once? We are the most one dimensional, single plan team i've ever seen. Its depressing. Dean Smith infamously said that the team mirrors the manager. Clearly he is a toothless, unimaginative, clueless lump imaginable. Major signings needed in Jan for me. Not sure we've progressed or just been a bit luckier...
  10. Need to make one of these chances count before Burnley catch us out
  11. We look good? We've created next to nothing and should be a couple of goals down but for poor finishing, a bit of luck and some quality goal keeping. The manager is afraid to make any subs because he has no faith in the players he brought in.
  12. We just aren't very good and are fully 1 dimensional. The team reflects the manager, so my opinion remains the manager just isn't up to it.
  13. I wouldnt wait to bring in a new cb until summer. We need a leader at the back now, and Mings aint it. I'd be looking at it in Jan.
  14. I'm frustrated for so many reasons... Should have had 3 or 4 goals excluding the VAR farce and the missed pen. The quality of our recruitment remains highly questionable for me. I don't see a player in Trez, El Ghazi or Traore - what a waste of 30m. No way on this earth is Watkins worth the 30+m we paid for him. Our defence is what killed us last term, and to right the ship we bring in Cash, whose defending this season has been pretty poor. We were crying out for a leader a CB and we brought in noone. I'm not even sure who our 3rd choice CB is. Grealish is still carrying this club on his own pretty much. Major reinforcements still required. Massively disappointing.
  15. If you miss as many clear cut chances as we did tonight you get beat. Couple that with Mings playing for the spammers and it was never going to happen
  16. Why does ghazi always throw himself on the floor when he messes up? So annoying
  17. Mings the creative force for the spammers again there
  18. Have we got a cb on the bench? Mings needs taking off before he gifts the game to the spammers
  19. I think if we're talking weak links in our defence Mings needs to take a step forward. Multiple clangers every game. He'd be the first one i would look to replace when signing a defender. He worries me as he takes too many risks, and is too pedestrian. We need a leader at the back, and i just do not think hes good enough to fill that role.
  20. Shocking how bad we are at defending set plays. Time and again we put our smallest players against our opponents tallest. Targett versus Ogbonna is a complete mismatch and that comes down to poor, or naieve, coaching. Though on balance we should probably be ahead, so lets hope the games continues in our favor.
  21. Yes, hitting parked cars during lockdown, fleeing the scene, and not reporting the accident are all ploys by police to catch out innocent footballers....
