  1. Oh lets forgive him for standing by letting Brighton run in on goal while he stands there doing nothing instead of attempting to make a challenge. Would you be so gracious if the guy took a shot and scored? He's a damn liability and does not deserve to wear the shirt
  2. F**king Ross Barkley standing beside the brighton player on the ball at the edge of the Villa box and runs 9ff toward the Brighton goal... Lazy, useless assh*le
  3. Hardly someone who is going to make a difference defensively. A standard like for like sub when its a change of system we need.
  4. Its so glaringly clear we need more bodies and more bite at CM but Barkley is still waddling around out there. Unfathomable!
  5. For the 3rd game in a row. And rather than pull Barkley, who is offering very little he leaves him there that makes it feel like we are already down to 10. When your midfield is fighting losing battles 3 games in a row, a luxury player like Barkley should be the first one to go. Makes no sense how he has played nearly every minute despite being so poor.
  6. Why not slag a player who has been a liability for several games in a row? Seriously, I have no idea why hes in the squad on current form never mind starting games. Truly dreadful. He must have something on DS or something cos this is getting ridiculous.
  7. Wish I could like this more than once - spot on.
  8. We all know the team needs freshening up, but you can almost guarantee DS will stick with his favourites, and we will put in yet another uninspired, inept performance. No changes, and we lose 3-1. I'd drop Barkley, McGinn and AEG. Bring in Nakamba, Sanson and Trez. This will firm up our cm position and make it harder for them to play through us like the last 2 opponents have done. Trez will offer better protection for Cash and better workrate to combat their good fullbacks. If its all square at 60, then bring in Traore, Ramsey and/or Barkley to push on a little. But i would not be starting them. But lets face it, DS wont do that.
  9. You're getting me confused with someone else. I've always criticised DS for his lack of rotation and subs, good times and bad, and I stand by that criticism. As to your point about stats in training, I find that incredibly hard to swallow in the case of McGinn, as he was clearly blowing after half an hour. If hes that tired after 30 minutes he is either unfit, which would show up in the training stats you mention, or he is being worked too hard in training and not getting enough recovery time before playing a game, which would also show up in the stats from their biody monitors. So, I don't accept the point, as i think everyone can see McGinn was blowing before half time, I dont need to see a readout to see he was tired - it was plainly visible. In Barkleys case, he hasn't had a decent game 8n a long time, and I cannot understand, in 2 games where our midfield was clearly not coping with the opposition, why he would leave such a massive hinderance of a player on the pitch, when Nakamba, who was our best player against Newcastle, and is more defence minded sits on the bench. DS is clearly choosing to ignore this, and i will continue to criticise him for it until he starts making rational choices.
  10. So continuing to play a completely useless Barkley and McGinn but eplacing the in form Traore was good management was it? Playing 6 games in just over 2 weeks using only 13 players, leaving players on the pitch, clearly exhausted, when there are viable rotation options on the bench is good management is it? Give your head a wobble!
  11. Made 1 change, dropping a guy who played well, but leaving in Barkley and McGinn who were awful. Change for changes sake, rather than addressing the actual problem.
  12. The culmination of a manager who has no clue how to manage and rotate his squad. Same again against Arsenal i expect and a similar bad performance and result
  13. All the more reason to rotate. I'm sure players dont look fresh in training and only tired on match day. Smith must know they need rest rotation and chose not to - simple as
  14. I'll take incompetent effort over talented laziness any day
  15. Thats down to the manager picking the same 11 for every game. Could have rotated more given the fixture congestion. I fear what Arsenal might do
  16. He has lost the intensity lately too. His engine was his greatest asset, but it seems he needs a new head gasket. The engines gone...
  17. I've said this about DS since he was appointed. He only knows how to play 1 way and if that fails...
  18. Yeah, i'd replace barkley and mcginn with nakamba and sanson. No steel in there at all.
