He jumps from 10 yards away. He could see Rodri was unmarked a good 15 seconds earlier and left him unmarked. Martinez can see Rodri on him own so rather than leave him unchallenged him moves to challenge him, which 8s what Mings should have done sooner. Our defensive setup is dire though, we never have tall players marking tall players. Beggars belief

100%agree we are good enough to pass the ball on hold onto possession more than we are. The biggest culprits in surrendering possession to early are McGinn with just dire passing, Mings with aimless long balls, and Martinez poor distribution. I'd get mcginn off for Davis. Bring Ramsey into the middle and push ollie out wide. Davis will hold the ball against these defenders no bother and bring ollie and traore in to play.

Think if Mings does his job, and challenges Rodri, the 2nd doesn't go in. It also doesn't go in if Martinez stays on his line. However, if Mings does his job and makes the challenge Martinez doesn't try to come for it. Martinezs passing jas been attrocious though

Luiz and mcginn are complete passengers. Just standing and watching the runners rather than tracking. Like they've never played the game before

Starting 11 was poor, most of the subs were poor, tactics were poor, most individual performances poor . Our best cm pulled off when mcginn and luiz were anonymous most of the game. All things point to a manager who has so little tactical ability and is completely out of his depth. Shambolic and schoolboy level
