  1. With the disruption of changing managers and covid, it doesn't surprise me that mediocre players are struggling. If we add quality in the areas I suggest, this will settle the rest of the team and over the next 2 years Ings and Ollie will be good enough to get us goals. I do agree though that long term we need better, but I think archer could be a part of that solution. I don't think we have any youth not already involved that could be used this season, so we need to buy.
  2. All 3 goals came down to individual errors. Not a lot SG can do about those. Generally, I'd say the squad just isn't good enough, needs a lot more quality. A new cm, lb, cb, and maybe an am all better than what we have is needed really. If we get 2 in Jan and 2 over the summer we could make a challenge for European places next season.
  3. We had at least one on target as chuk had a shot saved by Mendy. I think AEG did too
  4. AEG has been poor since coming on. He's got to be on the 'out' list
  5. Not seen many people get hit in the face like that 'accidentally' lol
  6. Was it even as bad as what Mings did against Leicester? I'm not so sure...
  7. 1 bit of skill doesn't make up for all the poor touches, losing possession and failing to track back. He'll come good eventually but he's 0laying poorly most of the time
  8. Still think we are sitting too deep. Hope we don't regret all the missed chances
  9. Struggling to see why Buendia is still on the pitch. Absolute passenger most of the game. Can't afford to sit so deep against a side as good on the ball as Leicester.
  10. What has happened to Cash's crosses? They are unbelievably dire today
  11. Disgraceful decision to disallow the goal. When the keeper has the ball only in 1 hand, then the forward is within his right to challenge him for it. We've seen many time the ball being nicked off the keeper when kicking from hands because he didn't have both hands on the ball. Keeper did not have the ball under control, so goal should stand. Corruption, incompetence, whatever your perspective, the goal should have stood. We should be ahead despite a pretty apathetic performance so far. These are there for the taking if we can get our game up like we did against city.
  12. Large portions of this game have felt very DS. Such a lack of urgency on and off the ball, dozens of individual mistakes, a real lack of movement. Very disappointing.
  13. Seeing how well our midfield is doing today suggests the issue was how DS was using them. Hopefully SG can get the most out of them and push them on.
  14. Whether we avoid relegation will rest now on who they get to replace Smith. I think the squad is capable, but needs a motivator and leader. Don't think we have a proper one at the club at all
