    And that's my point, you can't be outraged it was disallowed whilst also being outraged if it wasn't disallowed if the teams were reversed. That's called hypocrisy. I agree with the decision, not to create uproar, but because I feel it should be disallowed regardless of which teams are playing. I'm not saying it would be, but my expectation would be that rules are enforced. So, I'm not upset the goals was disallowed, because it should have been. Plenty of clearer decisions went against us. But the things that really lost us the game are 2 CBs failing to win a very simple ball into the box, and some extremely poor finishing. We lost because we were poor at both ends when it came to the important moments.

    It does and it doesn't. There is clearly an effort being made to give decisions in United's favour, I don't think anyone can deny that today. I just don't think the disallowed goal was one of them. Digne will be a massive upgrade on Targett. I'm not clear where Coutinho fits in yet, but I hope he works out. We really need a CDM as Luiz isn't one, and we need an aerially dominant CB as Mings just makes too many errors

    Because they check incidents from most recent to least. There were at least 3 things to be checked. Did Ings use his hand Did Watkins get a touch We're either Watkins or Ings offside Was Cavani unfairly blocked I ask you, why was Ramsey standing 10 yards offside staring at Cavani if he wasn't put there to block him off?

    Whether it would have been ruled out is besides the point. Rules don't change based on which team it's for - only the person awarding or not awarding things changes. We would all be calling for that to be ruled out if it happened at the other end no matter how soft you may think it is. And if you tell me you would not be calling for it to be disallowed at the other end you are fooling yourself.

    It's not just 'any contact' though is it? It's a player standing in an offside position starting at the man he wants to block 9ff and steps into him to make sure he blocks him. Meanwhile Cavani is watching the ball and doesn't know Ramsey is there. The Konsa 9ne is a much better one where we should have gotten a penalty and didn't.     Read the rule for obstruction and watch it back. Ramsey is in an offside position, keeps his eyes on Cavaniand steps into him to block him. Meanwhile Cavani is watching the ball. Clearest obstruction you will ever see. You honestly telling me if that's a villa player getting block by a United player, you don't want it disallowed? If you say no, you're lying to yourself.

    That's not what I said. I'm not saying there's no corruption, just that in THIS INCIDENT the rules were correctly applied. Plenty of incidents where they were not.

    Deluded and clearly don't know how to read the rules of the game then. If that happens at the other end guarantee you'd be shouting for it to be disallowed.

    Ramsey didn't stand where he was though. He's looking directly at Cavani and goes out of his way to block him, as he was instructed to do.

    One is shielding the ball with his body while the other stood in an offside position with the intent of blocking his runner.

    Poor defensively first half. Generally a good performance but we have zero cutting edge up front. Clear we need better quality at CB, CF and FB as those are the areas letting us down. Subs were baffling and reminded me of DS. Too little too late.
