I've been wanting a pair of red trainers for a while now, but not the fat clunky basketball ones that are usually the only kind I see. I may have to go to the Puma store mañana and try them on. I could use a new pair of summertime sweat pant, too.
With FOX having bought the rights to World Cup 2018 and 2022, and positioned an announcer with no understanding of the sport to be their number one man, the future is incredibly bleak in the US.
As usual, FOX are completely tone deaf to what fans want.
The Brazilians starred that trend. Strangely enough though, using English surnames, not Portuguese.
But it is annoying. Tyler, Taylor, Bailey, Jackson, Madison...eergh...
Add to that the fact that Rio muggers are salivating at the prospect of 4 weeks of drunk tourists. And price gouging at restaurants and bars, and dodgy transport (I predict a general rail/bus strike right before the opening match).
I can see Lescott at Villa, but Barry will get scooped up by Leicester
This makes no sense to me
Lescott- boyhood Villa supporter who said he'll take a massive wage cut. Tail end of his career, and would probably love to spend it with Aston Villa.
Barry- no loyalty to Villa and will earn more money playing for Leicester who are looking to add a bunch of new players, and have the money to do it.
Still not make any sense?
Right now I'm boiling two sweet potatoes, but not sure what to do with them. Whaddaya think- slice them into discs once they've cooled and then lightly pan fry them, then simmer in curry sauce?
Erm, 32 is still pretty young, man
I'm 43, so staying up all night at the beach bar, dropping ecstasy and pulling hot girls is totally out of the question. Right?
I prefer going it alone, for all the reasons Wainy said. I've found it easier to meet people when you're alone. You meet more locals when you're alone too. And you go to sleep and wake up when YOU want to!
I was thinking last might about flying to Europe for the last two weeks of the World Cup. Bounce around Germany and Holland, watch football and maybe drink real beer for the first time in three years.
But flights to Amsterdam, Munich and Genoa are all like $1,700 r/t. By the time I'm done sleeping, train riding and drinking, it'll cost me three times that. Not sure I can justify it at all.
