Looked good his first time out, we'll see what happens tomorrow at Detroit. We need him to do a job for us, cuz Peavy is regressing big time, and other than Lester, it's a toss up every night.
Just because the club is making signings does not mean a deal is not imminent. A prospective buyer may actually insist on a modicum of player investment whilst negotiations are ongoing, given the threadbare status of the squad.
All these qualifiers have been suspect, IMO. I'm very concerned that some of the minnows in the World Cup could have been gotten to. Players who don't make a lot of money on teams not expected to win would be prime candidates for cash payoffs.
Ergh, my landlord is putting this house up for sale, meaning I have to screw...sucks, cuz this apartment is huge and cheap, and I won't find anything remotely close to it around here...
An appointment of Roy Keane as Lambert's #2 might not mean a thing once the new owner comes in and does what he wants to do. Lambert/Keane simply might not be in his plans. It's a little perplexing that Keane would even take the job now, knowing the club is up for sale and he might not be retained. He'd look foolish.
He might be better suited for a #2 role. Even if you hate him, he'd bring a winning pedigree and a hard nosed mentality to the team, and that's something we desperately need. I'm not opposed to this. He's not my first choice by any stretch, but still.
Mixed bag of an episode for me.
1) Seemed a bit "all of a sudden" to me
2) Seemed a bit out of character and didn't make much sense
3) Epic scene
4) Really boring story, and I struggled to find a metaphor in it
5) Hubba Bubba
I wish we had a "Things That Piss You Off and SHOULD" thread, because this would be the first post-
A woman in my neighborhood was beaten and raped at knifepoint last night by a man with TWO PRIOR CONVICTIONS OF CHILD RAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am steaming right now, going for a bike ride
Crazy game last night. The NHL must be thrilled to have a NY-LA final. Although Chicago ratings probably would've been higher than LA's. Still, the NHL needs a strong fan base in LA, which is clearly not a traditional hockey town. Success helps build and sustain it.
I can't root for a NY team, so go Kings!
