    RVP has been almost a fringe player for them since their first game, so it's not like a massive void all of a sudden. Everything they do goes through Robben, without him, they'd have serious problems against Argentina.

    The Chicago situation has turned absolutely psychotic because it's moved beyond shooting over drug turf, and reprisal shootings. People are just driving up to corners and unloading their guns just for the fun of it. It's totally out of control.

    I really hope these games are better than the QF's were...besides a few spells of good action all four games were not up to the standard set in this World Cup. Brazil will have the crowd and referee on their side, but even so I think Germany should win. Arg-Hol is much harder to predict. Messi is that wild card who can turn a game on it's head all by himself. DiMaria is out...do we see Sergio Aguerro now? I think Holland should win it, but I expect it to be a tight struggle.

    His value goes up with every game Holland play. He's played very well for them, and now he's got a global profile. Chances are Van Gaal comes knocking at some point.

    Bad luck, Ticos. That said, they looked like they were playing to get to penalties from the opening whistle. And before they took the penalties, Ruiz clasped hands with RVP, smiled and said good luck to him, while RVP didn't smile or say a word. I knew right then that Ruiz was going to flub his chance. Tim Krul is an unsporting POS, I've never seen a goalkeeper get right up in the spot kickers faces like he was doing. I'm sick of looking at orange on my television, let's go, Argentina!

    I'm leaning towards Germany-Holland. An already underwhelming Brazil without Neymar and Silva are there for the scalping, and the Germans are good enough to do it. Holland are just a better side than Argentina. Both South American teams will have the edge in crowd support, but I don't think it'll be enough to knock the European teams off their stride.     They are basically screwed with Neymar and Silva out. Germany-Holland looking likely. Seeing as I have Dutch blood in my veins, I'll be rooting for them, even though I despise Arjen Robben and Louis Van Gaal.
