    Quiz!

The ten players with the most appearances in the history of the English Premier League collectively represent three countries. Can you correctly name those three countries? Extra credit of you can name all ten players as well....
  2. I was hoping for a September release Eh, probably better this way, I've been doing much more reading since I last played in February.
  3. This league will be won by the manager who drafts best in the late rounds
  4. For a similar genre of film, Elite Force 2 was much much better. Still have to see part 1.
  5. Finished watching Raid: Redemption. Overrated to be honest. Good, but not great. Some of the fight scenes were a bit comical.
  6. Wow, lotta teams this year.
  7. I can see Koeman getting the sack before Christmas. Something about him there seems off. Gut feeling I guess, but I think he's in for a difficult time.
  8. Long road back for Mackay if that road even exists in this day and age. Really ignorant stuff. Juvenile antics by adult men. Embarrassing.
  9. Are people now picking teams for week 2?
  10. Maybe it's Arison after all then?

    Drugs

Depends what society you are talking about. One toke off a hashish pipe will get you the death sentence in some countries. I think in Western countries, the perception of traditionally illegal drugs is in the middle of a transition, from one of hysteria, close mindedness and ignorance, to what we have been seeing in places like Portugal, Uruguay and the United States on a policy level, which seems to reflect a broad agreement amongst the people that the old ways of dealing with drug use as a public scourge is not effective, and is, in fact, damaging to society at large. Even crusty old conservative hardline Drug Warriors have publicly stated that there needs to be a complete overhaul of drug laws, to the point of decriminalizing cannabis (for starters), and maybe even other drugs. And in Washington state and Colorado, it's happened. I believe in 15 years, cannabis will be fully legal nationwide in the USA, and not just on a state level, but with the federal stamp of approval.
  12. Anyone watched "Foyle's War", it's recommended to me on Netflix....
  13. That said, I would not bat an eye if that piece of human scum who beheaded the journalist dies a slow, cruel death from a shrapnel wound to the groin.
  14. As do I, I don't want to put words in this mouth
  15. I'm assuming he means he hopes they get what's coming to them on their chosen theater of battle rather than within the cozy halls of a London court.
  16. "Do not fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." -Capt. John Parker Truly a monumental moment in the history of the modern(ish) world.
  17. It's hard not to think that a semi-permanent American ground force will be in Iraq to fight these guys. If only there was a non-Islamist strong man who kept terrorist groups out of Iraq and kept a lid on sectarian violence within Iraq... Invading Iraq, dismantling their army and removing Saddam Hussein was probably the dumbest foreign policy blunder by the United States, ever. Not even Vietnam compares to this. They've now created exactly the kind of situation they were purportedly trying to prevent.
  18. Surely it's about tapping into other markets etc. That we haven't tapped into yet to maximise all areas of potential revenues. He seems to know how to do this. He'll have plenty of contacts in Asia having been involved with NBA Asia
  19. ISIS have apparently beheaded and American freelance journalist who had been missing for almost 2 years. It's all on video apparently.
  20. You'd probably enjoy the Battle of Lexington reenactment in Massachusetts. I went there once as a little kid, and the town green was packed with spectators, as well as people up and down the street. The Minutemen militia were assembled and ready for the eventual British entry into the area. I remember hearing the distant rattle of battle drums from the approaching Redcoats. It was pretty scary, actually! Then they have a standoff on the green, and muskets and rifles begin to fire, and horses gallop around while smoke fills the air. Fun stuff. The thing goes on for about an hour, because they recreate skirmishes in the areas where they are believed to have happened, in and around the center of the town.
