While I believe Mackay deserves to be sanctioned over this (and he has), I also believe in redemption. He should be afforded the chance to make amends.
It's this kind of attitude that made John Fashanu and Graeme Le Saux and I'm sure many more feel like they were being persecuted for just being themselves. And Le Saux wasn't even homosexual, he was just perceived as such, or maybe just perceived as someone who, because he didn't join in with the banter, was worth targeting.
He looks like he's 70. Horrible. Very sad situation. I'm sure countless people have tried to help him, but he's one of those dyed in the wool drinkers.
Mackay is young enough that he should be able to recover from this. He just needs to make the apology rounds and then disappear for a year. I'm sure some small lower league club will be tempted to hire him then. And he can do his penance on bus rides to Scunthorpe and Plymouth.. If he does good enough, he might get another shot at the top.
You have to think that these guys are basically losers back in England, no job, no woman, no hope, frustrated. With IS, they have a chance to play out their little war games fantasies, and if they get killed, well, it's probably what they secretly wanted anyway.
Tim Howard has announced he's taking a hiatus from the US team through 2015. Risky move.
The Goose will probably do well enough to hold on to the starting job...
Apparently The Guns of August is a brilliant account of the critical events that helped kick off WW1. Won the Pulitzer Prize.
What I'd really like to find is a WW1 book that covers the entire war, but without being too textbooky.
Ha, good timing! I take it it's a good read?
I know one person that dabbles with Special K and to be frank, you can tell. Shot to bits and on a downward trajectory.
Messes up you liver or your kidneys? It's basically horse tranq isn't it?
Why give drugs to a horse? Why drag them into it?
Just Say Neigh
I had a kidney stone last year, and the pain was unreal. Big ole dose of morphine took care of that. When they asked if I needed more I lied and said yes, lol
The St. Louis shooting was filmed. The guy had a knife and approached the police yelling "Shoot me"....but with 2 cops, one of them could have used a taser, or they could have just shot at his legs and feet. I'm just not sure how this action can be justified.
edit.
You can see it on YouTube
