I'm enjoying the game more now because I've defined what I ultimately want from it. Before, especially in WOTLK, I was raiding regularly, but everyone seemed under pressure, and not really getting any joy from it. Studying videos to prepare for a raid, people running simulators to tweak their stats just right, etc. It got way too nerdy for me. What I love about it is what I loved originally, which was exploring, world pvp, questing and doing dungeons. And all the raid gear I could try and get will just be replaced by greens that I get from a murloc somewhere in the next xpac. I think they made a good choice in not allowing flight in WoD. The world seems so much bigger. Just like back in the day. I hope they keep it this way.

New England Revolution (Kraft family, NE Patriots) are apparently in advanced talks with the city of Boston to build a "Soccer Specific Stadium" in South Boston. Leaked information to the Boston Globe from a high up source, so this might be finally the real thing after years of false promises. As the last original MLS club to still be playing in an NFL stadium, it is seen as an embarrassment around the league, and coming off the huge surge in interest after the World Cup, I think the Krafts had to act once and for all. A city location with a skyline view is as good as it gets. A subway line nearby as well, and plenty of very happy bar owners in Southie and Dorchester if this happens.

Firstly, to the OP: Best wishes to your family. On a side note, but seemingly fitting for this thread, The Birmingham Mail are reporting people furious with Villa for not having a minutes silence for the 40th anniversary of the Pub Bombings at Monday's game against Soton. Seems like this is something the club should have reflexively wanted to do...maybe with Fox running things, the impetus fell through the cracks somehow, but it's a no-brainer, IMO. Bring supporters and fringe supporters in, extend the club to the community through very simple observances like this, when the need for them come around from time to time. PR blunder #781 and counting...

Most reasonable people think that Israel has a right to defend itself. But when those words come from a politician, it usually means they think Israel has the right to be homicidal.

Sadly Crackpot, if an aspiring congressman from Thinkoutsidetheboxville, USA ran on a platform that included divestment from Israel and the support of a free and sovereign Palestine, AIPAC would swoop in and crush him. They are so entrenched in the system that they will render you an instant no hoper if you try to buck it. And if you shut up about Israel and get elected, you cannot then go on a crusade against them while you are in office, because party leaders force you to toe the line. I wrote to my senator, the "progressive" Elizabeth Warren, at the height of the Gaza bombing, imploring her to get on the right side of history, denounce Israel's actions and be a true advocate for a sovereign Palestine. The "progressive" Warren wrote back about 3 weeks ago, with a cookie cutter line about supporting Israel's right to defend itself, while working for a lasting peace. Bullshit, essentially. And she is considered the left wing of the democrat party.

13 years is insane, especially for a guy who just had his face cave in on him. Nobody is gonna touch him now for at least the next 8 years, and by then, a 5 year deal for what could then seem agreeable terms might work for a club who plays a power game (like Boston).

Well, I was going to level my rogue, and took him to 94, but I missed playing my hunter, so I've leveled him to 93 as of last night. Really getting into it now, it feels much more immersive than Cata, and more expansive and dark than Mists. Shattrath City looks stunning.
