Oakland trades Josh Donaldson to Toronto for scraps. That's a frightening power trio in Toronto now. But Nelson Cruz is off to Seattle, so we don't have to worry about him anymore.

If every game played was an actual draw, I think we'd all feel a bit better about things, but as it stands, we know how precarious things are, and just how bad we are when we lose. My fears about that nightmare stretch of matches against top sides have come true- the team lost it's self belief. They play either scared and tentative, lazy and careless, or, when they do hustle, the quality just isn't there. We need Benteke and Kozak playing together and scoring goals, end of. I don't care if we don't sign Cleverley, cuz Bacuna is just as good and maybe with a run of games could be more of a threat than Cleverley is. Cleverley was advertised as an attacking player, after all. I don't see Lerner spending a dime in January. Another battle to the finish.

What are you buying your loved ones, and what's on your own list? I've made one purchase so far, I'm getting my nephew the Dark Knight Trilogy box set. He's a massive Batman fan, but just turned 12 and hasn't seen any of the new movies, so he'll be excited to get them. I'm hoping for a cordless power drill. If I don't get it, I'm going on strike. In the post with a set of steak knives. Thanks for that, I was going to have a look under the hood today to see if anything was obviously damaged. We had a very cold night overnight on Sun/Mon, so that may have been the culprit. Thing is, I've noticed that the last 10 days or so, the car would fight back for a split second before starting. But the battery is only 2-3 years old. But I'm parking it outside for the first time now, and sometimes go up to 4 days without driving it. I'm hoping it's just a battery that needs to be charged up more often.

That we've been conditioned to believe a player like Ashley Westwood is fundamental to the team speaks volumes of the present status of Aston Villa Football Club. The big clubs wouldn't touch him, and the second tier clubs like Spurs, Everton, Soton and Newcastle would probably have him sitting on their bench, at best. He's s a decent player, but nothing special.

I should mention that before I tried to start it the second time, I spent a couple of minutes loading CD's...but even after that, lights still worked, so I'm a bit flummoxed here.

So I just started my car up, pulled up to the house to pack our bags and hit the road, but when I tried to start the car up again, it wouldn't turn over. Interior light works, headlights work...so the battery is charged...the starter works, cuz the car kicked over 5 minutes before. Could it be the fan belt? Any gear heads on here?
