    Hats

I have a very large and ovular shaped head, so certain hats help "correct the problem", namely baseball caps and flat caps, but flat caps look out of place when doing normal routine things like yard work, exercising, etc. I have a flat cap but I never wear it because it's a bit too "Peaky Blinders". I like the look of these although the plaid one might be a bit too flashy for me.
  2. Here's how to solve the whole problem in the most simplistic, unsophisticated and unlikely way possible: You link the Gaza Strip with the West Bank by a subterranean highway and rail link, making Palestine one unified physical territory. You install a permanent United Nations security force in and around Jerusalem, allowing all the religions equal and secure access to holy sites and houses of worship. You install a permanent U.N. administrative apparatus, turning the city into it's own U.N. sponsored microstate. You reconstruct Gaza and deprived area of the West Bank. You recognize Palestine as a sovereign state. You dismantle Hamas. You establish a democratic framework for the "new" nation of Palestine. Wait a minute. Have I just solved the Israel-Palestine problem once and for all?

  4. He's not only kneecapping our military, but he's a vocal Nazi apologist and would probably vote to reintroduce slavery in Alabama. F*ck him.

Do you wear hat? Do you own multiple types of hats? Are there commonly worn types of hats you don't like?

    Cats...

There's a barking bobcat about 100 yards from my house at the moment. The kitties are not going to like being locked indoors for the time being..
  7. Most Americans who wear suits don't really do tailoring, even wealthy ones. Although Biden seems to.
  8. I know what you mean, it's a form of vanity in a way to think that there NEEDS to be a public statement or acknowledgement from football clubs or federations of whatever the current fuss is about. But it seems that it's also a sort of tradition in English football to acknowledge, commemorate, honor etc., with a minute's silence, and I really like how it is so well-observed. But with an issue as fraught as this, I think they should just skip it entirely. By the time kick-off comes, people will probably just want to forget about the problems of the world for a few hours.
  9. Who knows what is real anymore. Twitter is flooded with propaganda and disinformation and mainstream news isn't much better. It's painful watching these CNN anchors convey their commiserations to their interview subjects before a stylized backdrop and custom theme music.
  10. They should just skip it. The Premier League can issue a generic statement on social media and clubs can opt in or out of doing likewise.
  11. Right, sorry,I got that flipped. It might be that supporting Palestinians is a broadly popular policy across the Islamic world, no matter the sectarian considerations. And if you can keep a militant group of the opposite sect on a leash and willing to antagonize Israel for you, it's a win-win.
  12. If Hezbollah fully committed to an assault from the north forming a pincer attack with Hamas in Gaza, this could get interesting, but it sounds like they are essentially firing their rifles into the sky in solidarity.
  13. CNN interviews reverting to form after that aberration on Zakaria's program. Absolutely no room for nuance, historical context or any discussion of why Palestinians might feel aggrieved.
  14. The entire premise of Israel is based on a guarantee of security, it is what undergirds the whole thing. Security from Nazis, from pogroms, from Jihadists. Mossad and Netanyahu have failed to provide the protection they promised, so trust in his leadership might not be salvageable. I could see him move to shift blame in an attempt to save himself. But he's not going anywhere just yet. He's about to do something he's only dreamed about.
  15. Post-WW2 Jewish immigration to Palestine, and the subsequent fighting and partitioning displaced a few hundred thousand Palestinians from their homes all across the country and they mostly fled to Lebanon, Jordan or Gaza.
  16. Yes, I should've have come back and put that caveat in there, because I also ultimately found it unsubstantiated the more I read. But the point stands- Netanyahu was above all, supposed to keep Israel secure. And he was warned that increasing aggression against Palestinians was going to backfire, and it has, spectacularly. He's already hated by half the country, and this security disaster should seal his fate politically. Rumors, true or false, or half-true, about being him tipped off by Egypt 10 days ago, make things even more uncomfortable for him. The quote from him that I posted earlier sounds really bad and lends credence to the idea that he very well might have known ahead of time or that he even made strategic decisions to accommodate an assault that he might have thought wasn't going to be as devastating.
  17. Any interest in converting this to a keeper league next year? We keep one player who we drafted and roster the whole season but lose the corresponding draft pick next draft. So if I keep Lamar Jackson I'd lose my 4th round pick next year. Keeper leagues reward savvy late round drafting in particular. If your last pick has a breakout season you can lock him in and not worry about giving up a late round pick, making your team next year potentially more formidable. Could be an interesting experiment for one season or more if we like it.
  18. If he gets them promoted he will get them relegated right back down.
  19. They probably could make design and hardware improvements but the simple cost of fuel probably torpedoes enthusiasm. But as a non commercial venture for some Richard Branson type, sure why not, other than the embarrassing amount of carbon you'd spunk into the atmosphere for joy riding.
