I thought Django was overrated. As are most Tarantino movies, IMO. His best movie is the one that gets the least respect, Inglorious Basterds.

A lot of those 70's New York "classics" are totally overrated, IMO. Films like Mean Streets, Midnight Cowboy, The French Connection, The Conversation, Serpico, etc.

Don't know why you're so certain people are gonna take the piss.. I think you have to look for any crumb of good news where you can find it, and any bit of personal happiness, even if it's fleeting. Otherwise you can easily give in to despair, because it's pretty clear things are only going to get worse. Some one on here has/had a signature that said something to the effect of "Life is short, enjoy the ride"...if this is our reality, the way things are, the best we can do is try and make the best of it, and count our blessings because it could be much worse. We live in a cozy First World bubble compared to the majority of the world's population.

The feds are accusing the North Korean state of the Sony email hack and all the threats to theaters and the public. The whole thing is really quite extraordinary. Not condoning the hack/threats, but making a movie about assassinating an actual living head of state is stupid and irresponsible, especially when that head of state is a paranoid lunatic.

The most damning element of their operation is that they have to go out and capture the whales to keep up their inventory. It's not like they're rehabbing lost calves or old whales who got clipped by a cargo ship's propeller. The business model is totally unethical.

So Keane and Cleverley were at the center of the storm...Fergie must have written letters to Lerner recommending them both...
