  1. Woofs-Saudicastle was a great game. Sad to see Neto go down. Decent scoreline for Villa.

    Chelsea

I'm not sure what the optimal result would be for Villa. I want Spurs reeled in, but also want Chelsea to stay adrift. Maybe 0-0?
  3. I think it's a very peculiar cultural blindspot for some Latin Americans. Despite the racism inherent in the post, I can't be certain Garnacho is in fact a racist himself, or even stupid. I'd like to think he's just ignorant of the connotations and as an Argentinian, he's using the monkey/gorilla label in an "affectionate" way- and that's the blindspot they have- or at least it's an attitude and practice that is out of step with what is considered acceptable in the Anglosphere and Scandinavia, among some other places, including Africa, obviously.
  4. Equating players of African descent to primates is essentially the number one trademark of racist football fans wherever they make themselves known. My gut tells me Onana just wanted to bury it quickly in order to save himself from further humiliation. I could be very wrong, of course. And it's Onana's prerogative to deal with it how he sees fit. I just think he probably just wants it to go away, and I can't blame him.
  5. Based on racist social media posts. And his on-pitch demeanor which rubs me the wrong way. Something about his face, too.
  6. Garnacho strikes me as a scummy little character. Prototype United player these days.
  7. It's sad. In Argentina they use terms like "blackie" and "Black monkey" very casually to the point that the people who say it truly do not think it's racist. Would Garnacho have used two gorillas on a Twitter post about De Gea? Doubt it. The post is dripping in idiotic racism. Onana's heart probably sunk when he saw the post but is probably trying to just make the whole thing go away by downplaying it.
  8. That poor piglet wanted to play.
  9. I think we start full strength and try to finish them off by halftime and then make 5 subs for 2nd half. I know how arrogant I sound.
  10. The bar victims were mostly deaf people having a group night out.
  11. That was also my first thought. Top quality and drama free officiating.
  12. Good. These Euro refs put Prem refs to shame. Love seeing Diego out there.
  13. 22 confirmed dead, expected to rise.
  14. It was only a matter of time before mass gun slaughter came to Maine. As of right now, at least 16 dead but expected to rise. 3 locations in Lewiston (small city where the Clay-Liston fight was). Lewiston is home for many Somalis. The shooter is white male ex-army. Would not surprise me if he targeted Somalis. One of the locations was a bowling alley having a youth night. My sister knows someone whose sister was shot but survived. Maine is a very small state, so this will touch a lot of people. Meanwhile, the killer is on the loose. "Freedom".
  15. He's also opted to shoot (and miss) twice when a simple slotted pass would've likely lead to a goal.
  16. Tragically, Buendia looked like he'd been living in the weight room all summer and seemed poised to show that he could handle the rough and tumble.
  17. I love this except the claret lion on blue. A yellow lion on claret would be better.
