  1. Are we allowed to have two Lamberts at the same time though?
  2. It's a great sport. Not perfect, but great spectacle, especially in big games that go down to the wire. I think if more people bothered to learn the rules and the strategy, they'd really like it. It's like Americans who hate (soccer). If they just learned the offsides rule, it would all make sense. But they don't, so all they see is guys aimlessly kicking a ball around with no deeper understanding of what is actually happening on the pitch.
  3. Undrafted rookie makes the greatest defensive play in Patriots history. Incredible.
  4. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!!
  5. I thought we had lost yet another SB on another fluke catch. I was already trying to prepare my mind for an even deeper level of anguish. But the football gods had other plans this time. Simply incredible ending, I don't think we'll ever see something like that again. That was trench warfare on the scrimmage line tonight, both teams were just mashing. Lynch was a beast again, and it's a total head scratcher that they passed it in that spot at the end. Carroll said something about clock management, but with the ball at the 1 and Lynch as your back, just give him the ball. They still had a timeout as well. They just overthought the situation when all they needed to do was keep it simple. Devastating for Seahawk fans, Stefan, I feel your pain man. Boston sports history is littered with heartbreak. But what you have with Seattle is a team built to play in multiple Super Bowls, so enjoy the ride, even though it's bumpy. This was a classic game for the history books, people will talk about this one for a long time. And as a long suffering Patriots fan since the late 70's, trust me, losing the Super Bowl is so much better than sucking every year. You'll be back. Hell, maybe a rematch next season?
  6. It doesn't help that Lerner sends out mixed messages whenever he speaks, and with Fox, it's not totally clear exactly what he does and how much power he has. At least with Ellis and Stride we knew what was what.
  7. Girls who wear too much makeup. Do they not know how ridiculous they look?
  8. We need 4 points from Hull and Stoke to tread water. Anything less, it's looking grim.
  9. He's a mid table player at best, let's be honest.
  10. If we lose and don't score against Hull, Lambert has to go. Any other outcome he deserves another week. But if we lose to Hull, relegation becomes a probability, not just a possibility. Actually, if we roll over again to Chelsea, he should be sacked.
  11. Another indictment on Lambert. The manager must make sure the players at the very least do this. Clueless.
  12. He brings Sinclair on when we're 3-0 down. Brilliant. The time to bring Sinclair on was to start the 2nd half. But the real indictment of this team's preparation was the way they started the match. Naive, stupid, slow, sloppy. Gil and Sinclair the only bright spots. Losing today wouldn't have surprised me, but the manner in which we lost has. I thought we'd turned a corner recently, with goals, a win, Delph re-signing and new players. At what point does Tom Fox pick up the phone and tell Randy that the ship is going down?
  13. Underdeveloped by centuries of slave trading, mineral theft, social oppression and political repression under colonial rule, traditional tribal boundaries erased and arbitrarily drawn up borders imposed by Europe, puppet leaders installed as satellite Communist fighters, good politicians murdered, corrupt politicians steal from the people, sweetheart deals for multinational firms with no ethics, superstition and ignorance allowing disease to flourish, religious and tribal warfare, failed states, power vacuums and not much hope that things will get better. In fairness, there is a legitimate middle class in parts of Africa, but by and large, it's a basket case.
  14. Doh, removed Kane (2 goals) from Captain today

  16. USA, France and UK have all been trying to help the Nigerian govt., but have been basically stonewalled. Seems they don't want western meddling, even though they clearly can't handle the situation themselves, and the African Union is on holiday apparently.
  17. Imagine David Silva and Eden Hazard in the same team...not quite Delph and Gil, but still...
  18. Never heard of it, I'll look out for it
  19. 2 feet of frozen over snow where I am, and another 8 inches coming on Monday. 5F temperatures with a negative windchill. Pure misery. Thinking about jumping a flight to Florida on Tuesday.
