On the face of it, a phone call firing is pretty tacky, but the impression ive had for a while now is that Lambert was used to talking shop over the telephone. You do get the feeling that Fox and Lambert didnt quite get on that well.

Good guy, untenable situation, and its good that hes moving on. I think he has a very passive demeanor, which can work for some clubs in lower divisions with lower expectations, but not with Aston Villa and the crucible of the Premier League. In an age of knee jerk overreaction, Lerner showed admirable patience with Lambert, but this move was overdue. Good luck, Paul

Hull played well yesterday and will not be pushovers. Hopefully they dont try to break Gil's legs like they tried with Grealish, the dirty bastards. A loss here makes the writing on the wall that much clearer. Biggest game of the year.

I went there in an October, and the water was fine. Stayed at Grotto Bay. Lovely. Thats where im staying actually! Im dragging myself out of bec at 5 AM tomorrow, so ill have the entire afternoon to hit the beach and pool, etc., same on monday. Sadly rain is forecast for tues and wed, really kind of a bummer, but whatevs. any cant miss activities or nightlife spots, blandy?
