I just stumbled on this doc last year, hadn't heard a word about it, and it floored me. Gut wrenching stuff.
For me, Otis Redding was like meat and potatoes R&B, a lunchbox type of soul singer. He hit his marks and that was that. I never felt uplifted or moved by anything of his that I've heard. There was a bit too much emoting going on, kind of touching on what Moon Man said. It's almost like he was faking it...
