  1. Sturridge and Kane could be a very nice front line for England for a long time.

    Do you read?

Reading this right now and enjoying it. The first chapter is about Red Star Belgrade ultras, their influence inside the club, and their direct involvement in wartime atrocities in the 90's.
  3. In the States, it's hit or miss with English style tea. Coffee rules here, there just isn't a huge demand for old fashioned tea. We probably consume more herbal tea than black tea.
  4. Sounds like you can scratch "bad" off your list...
  5. A lot of American's would be perplexed now… a grandmother that makes faggots Faggots with spotted dick would be a source of consternation
  6. good stuff guys, thnx
  7. Meanwhile, China continues to flood the US market with absolute rubbish, and we encourage it. But NO CREAM EGGS!!!

Had Clarkson molested children instead of punched a producer, he'd still have a job with the BBC...
  9. I've tried just about everything short of surgery. It sucks, because I'm always mindful of how I pick things up, and how not to overdo exercise, etc., and I aggravate it by sweeping dust off the floor.
  10. The co-pilot recently passed his psychological evaluation, so either he was really good at masking his true underlying mental state or there is a flaw in their evaluation process.
  11. If you are on a ferris wheel with a first date and start to feel queasy, don't catch your vomit and try to shovel it all back into your mouth and swallow it, because you'll just start vomiting more. A friend of mine did that, poor kid. Never had any luck with girls, but he finally got a date and she was really attractive too. She wasn't the understanding type though.
  12. Just binge watched the new Netflix production Bloodline. 13 episodes, and it's really good. You have to get over the first episode setting the table, at parts it's a little cliched, but it gets very interesting once all the pieces have been established. Well worth checking out.
  13. Finally found a good use for this gif
  14. CNN in the States went off the deep end in covering the missing plane in Asia. Anchormen playing with model airplanes on air was the embarrassing low point, I think. CNN is almost a big a joke as FOX.
  15. Anyone been under the knife for back issues, or know anyone who has? I've had two bulging discs in my lower back for 20 years, and I can still aggravate it by doing something as harmless as sweeping dirt up off the floor. Which is how I aggravated it again Monday. So I've been lying in bed with a heating pad and just getting totally fed up with it. I've had to cancel appointments I had this week and I'm at my wits end. I've done chiro, PT, pain killers, it's all ineffective. Sometimes the stretches I do at home can exacerbate the pain too. Nothing works, and sometimes just makes it worse. I've researched back surgery a bit online, and it seems like some people had success and others had worse problems afterward. Any info/advice you guys can give me either firsthand or secondhand is appreciated. (I have bulging discs in L4 and L5)
  16. its a cup competition, i hate that they call it a league
  17. yes, I am aware. He would be before the international tribunal in the Hague today. Only if he was African
  18. Now with cable and internet, it can never return to that time. Too many options for people, and the younger you are, the greater the chances are that you prefer MMA to boxing. Plus, the promoters know that the prestige as it were, lies in the exclusivity of the event and the PPV aspect of it. When you open that up to free TV, the money flies out the window.
  19. I bet of all the Premier League era clubs that have never been relegated, we have given up the most goals in the last 5 minutes of games. Not sure where I can look to confirm this suspicion though...
  20. Sad news, Chindie, sorry to hear it. I'm still dealing with tying up my father's loose ends. When all you want to do is grieve like a human being, the world forces you into a tangle of unsympathetic bureaucracy. Sucks.
  21. The great Caetano Veloso, a one time collaborator with Gal Costa-
