But for me, the figures will either prove or disprove inherent racial bias in the hiring of black coaches and managers; without figures, it's just conjecture. That said, I'm not naive enough to think that racial bias against black managers doesn't exist. But is it to the degree that Ferdinand claims it is? I'm sure there's a bias against American coaches as well, but is it a crisis? That's why we need data. How many black men in Britain who have their coaching credentials are unemployed in football, or prevented from advancing in football?

Our young catcher Vasquez looks like he's done his elbow and will be out for the season. Really sucks, cuz he's like a young Yadier Molina behind the plate. This was supposed to be his breakout season.

Give me owners who can buy better players so we can at least challenge for a Europa League place every year and not have to worry about relegation. Maybe a new North Stand too, and filled in corners. Hopefully with an English owner, the stadium won't be renamed...

Just watched Talhotblond on Netflix last night. Pretty amazing story, but the doc has some considerable flaws in execution. A better filmmaker could have turned it into an award winner.

At the end of the day, he had no clue how to move the team forward. He got too conservative when things got bad, and it all snowballed. He went into a shell, and the team needed the exact opposite kind of leadership. He'll land on his feet, and as long as he doesn't spend money like Stephen Ireland, he'll be fine.
