  3. No matter how crap we are, i always think we can beat spurs, and nothings changed. 2-1, Villa
  4. Boston marathon bomber's mother...looks like a bundle of fun, doesn't she?
  5. Bass was the first "fancy" beer I ever had, back when I was about 16 or 17. I thought it sucked.
  6. Bass (brewery). Specifically the red triangle thingy on the label, well done.
  7. They execute crossdressers in Zimbabwe, don't they?
  8. Both sets of my mother's grandparents never met each other even after the wedding and births. Catholic-Protestant in 1920's Boston...
  9. My best friend growing up married a girl whose father was a university professor, the mother an artist or whatever. My buddy's father was a mailman. The wedding was hysterical. His parents wanted a Catholic service, but the wife wanted it to be a hippy dippy New Age ceremony and she won out, of course. My buddy's dad had to go up in front of everyone and break a twig or something that was symbolic of something, I can't remember what, but the look on his face was priceless. The reception dinner was table after table of suspicious people trading mean looks, haha
  10. 5 home runs over first 3 games aint too shabby
  11. It always amazes me how many dreams I have that feature childhood friends who I haven't seen in years. Also, the number of dreams in which I'm on the run from the police!
  12. LOL people daydreaming, Guzan is a beast and the whole league knows it
  13. What was the UK's first registered trademark?
  14. Monument Valley. Very satisfying little game.
  15. Silly show, but a great theme song.
  16. It's biological. Goes back to our caveman days, we were the lucky ones absolutely smothered in body hair, the ladies not so much.
  17. That's not really his game though (running at defenders). His movement is fine. He has a great move where he toe pokes the ball and just out strides the defender to create space to pass or shoot. That's how he beats defenders, it's more a mental thing, he thinks a half step ahead of his opponent.
  18. Benteke is a cut above, his general play away from any scoring position is just world class, really. His hold up play, his flicks, passes, his ability to shake defenders is a joy to watch. Best Villa striker I've seen since Dwight Yorke. And if Benteke had better support, he'd be even more of a force. He deserves the captaincy for that performance.
  19. For a bad result, it was a great game to watch. Great spectacle.
  20. Buzzing that we drew at the end, but this was 2 points chucked out the window against a TERRIBLE team at home. Calamitous result, it was a must win and we didn't.
  21. Legendary stuff from Benteke, maybe life saving. That we almost lost this makes me think we will leave it til the last match against Burnley. I think we deserve to know why Gil has been frozen out. Not convinced by Sherwood. What a game though, my heart is fluttering
