Especially if you are unsure about the person's view on drugs or experience with them. Puts the person in a awkward spot. Had the guy done cocaine with Tony before, it wouldn't seem as kind of scuzzy as it does otherwise. Cocaine is a weird drug, because it's psychoactive effects on the brain are almost in perceivably subtle to an observer, like it was for Tony. Unless they've been on a 8 hour binge. But a toot or two of cocaine is fairly benign, IMO.

Depending on how things shake out with regards to new ownership/more funds, he could be persuaded to sign a long term deal. Seems to be enjoying his football under Sherwood...if he we make a big signing or two to show some ambition, he might just stick around. Wishful thinking, I know. Also agree with people who say they'd gladly let him leave on a free in two years. Are two more years of Benteke worth 35m at current wages? I'd say so.

Bit of a head scratcher, this Liverpool link. Chelsea or Arsenal would seem the most likely destinations, and they can offer Champions League. He will regret a Liverpool move.

Agreed, I think FFP's exclusionary aspects gets UEFA as close to the coveted "Super League" as they can get.

Every position needs to be challenged for in training, IMO, with the exception of Benteke. That means a massive spend, back to front. We have our strongest midfield in the least 15 years, but it never hurts to have competition. -

No benteke? I certainly want to see him for what will probably be the last time I'd rest Tekkers, or maybe bring him on late for a little tune up. I'd hate to have one of our key players get hurt during a game that means **** all!

Given was always going to start the Cup final. Benching him against Burnley will not help his confidence at all. So for me, it's obvious that Given starts the next two games, unless he totally implodes against Burnley, which won't happen.

I have a feeling what the announcement will be is Randy's gone out and acquired a couple of partners with some extra cash lying around. So Randy stays on as chairman, Fox stays on as underboss, Sherwood stays on as manager, we have some more money to spend of transfers and wages, and hopefully we can put this long nightmare behind us once and for all.

I'd keep Clark, Okore, Baker and Bacuna. On the fence with Lowton and Bennett cuz they're still young and can always be loaned out. Everyone else needs to go. Vlaar's mistake today probably dropped his selling price by a million pounds!
