  3. His specialist in the States might have advised him to hang up his boots or risk permanent disability.
  4. MAQ Attack in relegation form... Gibbs and Lockett for Sanders and Metcalf was rash
  5. Woah, Derby County are in League One, did not know they were relegated again. There but for the grace of NSWE..
  6. I watched a Euro '92 game with some Swedes when I was in Greece. They kept chanting "We are yellow, we are blue, we are Sweden- **** YOU!"
  7. Ridiculous. Astana is on a similar latitude to Mumbai. Why would UEFA allow that? All it really means for other UEFA teams is an absurdly long flight. FWIW, I'm not a huge fan of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Turkey being in UEFA either. If you're on the Asian continent, you should play in the Asian federation....(I know most of Russia is in Asia as well, but Moscow is European, as well as most of their other footballing cities.) If I were a Kazakh, I'd want to play in the federation that offered an easier path to the World Cup.
  8. Even German citizens in the 1930s weren't radicalized to this degree. We are headed down a dark path.
  9. I agree that Martin Tyler has lost a step, but he was the guy I heard the most when I first started watching English football back the mid 90s, and I really liked him. He did much more than just call games, he provided me an education about the clubs, players, grounds, history. And he was much more eloquent than most American sports announcers, and had generally smarter observations. I'll always admire Martin Tyler and it saddens me when I see really rancid vitriol directed at him. He's a gentleman and an elder and should be given a bit of leeway in his older years.
  10. My favorite current pairing is Proudfoot/Townsend. And anytime I hear Stephen Warnock, he's is superb.
  11. Ian Darke is one of my faves. No-nonsense, no poetry, good voice, enthusiastic without sounding forced and provides excellent broader context.
  12. Methinks the Premier League is desperate to keep Everton from being relegated, hence the slap on the wrist. The new stadium has provided EFC some protection here. The PL wants to showcase it.
  13. Everton very lucky there are some really terrible teams around them.
  14. Why have Everton already been docked points when Man City haven't?
  15. More like international break my balls, right guys?
  16. We have to be assertive from the start. We have to rattle them.
  17. Yep, I'm not sure our players have the mentality or belief that they can seize these opportunities to take the next step into the top 4 and consolidate the position. I hope I'm wrong!
