FWIW, A Mexican accent is very different to a Cuban accent, etc. "Spanish Accent" doesn't really apply if the speaker isn't from Spain.

Mediocre. But still better than most of the garbage on television. The show was hamstrung by too many story lines, none of which were very compelling, and only really managed to confuse the viewer. The characters were all more or less unlikable, the dialogue was pretty lame at best, laughably bad at it's worst. Farrell's fateful decision at the end was a total Heat ripoff. Meh

TS has said Adebayor is not gonna sign, so I'm not sure who else is possible. I think signing another striker is as important as signing another CB.

Our reason for not re-signing Lester was because he was 30, and our focus was on younger pitchers who would command cheaper contracts. Porcello had a good season, so that was enough for Cherington. Sandoval is a playoff beast, so that was enough for Cherington, never mind he's basically a .270 15HR player who is massively overweight. Idiotic deals, and it should cost Cherington his job. Lucchino is already gone, only a matter of time before they clean house yet again.

Dude he is hated! Even most Villa fans couldn't stand him until he came to us! He's not a petulant, sullen prick like those guys are. I also think he's maturing as a manger in terms of his persona right before our eyes.

David Simon returns to HBO with "Show Me a Hero", a 6 part miniseries starting next week about city politics/housing/race relations in Yonkers, NY in the late 80's. Based on true events, it's directed by Paul Haggis. Might not cancel HBO now...

The Russian will want European success above all else this season, so if he doesn't deliver, maybe. As much of a word removed that he can be, he is a good manager for them, and he has presided over their more stable periods.

Our resident Yanks must correct me if I'm wrong but I believe there was a massive realignment at the time of the civil rights movement. Wasn't it LBJ who was fairly supportive of the CRM and African Americans began voting overwhelmingly Democratic while Southern conservatives shifted to the Republicans for good? That's correct, but the seeds were sown during 16 years of FDR and New Deal policies which helped many blacks enter the middle class (until banks and municipal governments squeezed them into ghettos.)

With the pending signing of Adama and even Praet, yes it is. Also, Sanchez was Westwoods only real competition last year, now we can add Gueye and Veretout to the list of players who can fill that role. I will defer to Trents appearance tally, but how many of those was as a sub and how many was he subbed off... With all this said, i am pleased with the extension, and hope he plays so consistently well that some of,the new boys cant get a league start...i just am not convinced he will be a regular starter once Gueye and Veretout settle in.

Contributing factors to American stupidity-Isolation from the world and television. Also a strong anti intellectual streak born from a distrust and antipathy toward New Englanders and the northeast in general which has traditionally run the country and has had closer cultural links to Europe.

He made 32 appearances last season. He lost his place early in Sherwood's time here then won it back with the manager singing his praises. In a much less competitive midfield. Wasn't your original point though was it? You said he was a part timer last year. You've been proven wrong so you're changing the goalposts Can I not make seperate points Stefan? That said, Ive not been proven wrong either. He wasnt an automatic starter. Seems you're confusing me for someone who thinks commenting on a player is a competitive endeavor?
