What "squad?" We don't have a squad. Tim keeps switching everything around to "find the spark." **** that spark bullshite. The best players don't start, and there's not been a chance for the best group to get used to each other and a formation. It's a testament to these players' skills -- some well-timed passing in dutch triangles, for example. -- that they have improved DESPITE Tim's machinations. Perhaps they are tapping into training they received at their previous clubs, or maybe Tim or one of his lieutenants has had a role, but he's undermined the "squadiness" of the squad repeatedly. So are the players good DESPITE Sherwood...or are the players just not good enough all of a sudden?

Why is Ratings and Reaction thread effectively locked? Probably for the best, anyway! It is really amazing that we play a big target man upfront, have wingers with pace, and yet never seem to actually put in a decent cross for him to try to latch onto. Most of the play was up the middle, which would have been great the last 4 years, but not this one. The manager has almost singlehandedly put us in this hole coming into today, and didn't really do much to correct it. Case in point not playing to Gestede's strength. The team did play better on the whole, and it might have been enough to save the manager's skin until next week. But what we need is a new manager bounce to try to see us through these really hard fixtures coming up. Just cannot see Sherwood righting the ship. The damage has been done. Also, seeing Wilkins yuk it up with Mourinho after we conceded the first goal isn't really conveying the right message to the Villa players ion the bench is it? Jokers, him and Sherwood.
