Like who? He has got to do a hell of a lot more to get anywhere near a top side. Yes he does the attacking role decently for us, but the top sides (big fish) have squad back ups ten times better than him. I don't mean right now, I mean in a year or two when he's 24 and entering his prime.

He's only 22...what a pleasure to watch this kid play. Hopefully none of the big fish come sniffing around...
  3. Everything we predicted for him at Man City has basically happened thus far. What a brilliant career move.
  4. Yep, it's like the reporters are trying to create turmoil, the words removed
  5. Sherwood did that all the time, then when we were shit he sat down. It makes zero difference the manager jumping around or not none whats so ever, i never understand why fans lift it up as some type of chalice of importance. I'm speaking of imagery, and also general sideline demeanor. Also, it helps if what you do while up and gesticulating actually helps accomplish something, rather than
  6. Every time the camera panned to Remi, he was standing at the touchline, clapping, urging, directing. Contrast that to Sherwood slouched back in his seat with a big frown on his unshaven mug. We have a class act manager now, thank ****.
  7. I still saw Sanchez play things a little too tentative at times, and you just kind of hope it doesn't turn into something terrible as a result when it happens. There are times when he ball watches and times when he tries to finesse a situation when a thumping clearance is required. Hope Remi can fine tune Sanchez, cuz we need him.
  8. Everton are always beatable. 3 points here and it'll be heaven.
  9. "I didn't choose these players" "They're lacking fitness" "I didn't tell them to play like that" WHAT A MASSIVE word removed
  10. Dammit, as soon as things get exciting again, there's a break. Oh well, at least this will give Remi a nice stretch of time to really work with the players and I'll be incredibly interested to see how we come out playing at Goodison. Something needs to be done with our forward situation, maybe just try Kozak? Or Sinclair upfront, they both did well in preseason and early on. With two strikers and two good crossers of the ball on the wings, maybe we can start at LEAST putting some shots on goal. Guzan Hutton Richards Clark Amavi Gil Sanchez Gana Veretout Kozak/Sinclair Ayew
  11. Very small sample size, but it looks like we have our first legitimate football manager since the last Frenchman to manage the club.
  12. What a contrast. Some great midfield play, fantastic defending, but just still lacking the final element. Disappointed with Ayew today, he just walked around a lot, never really looked to run into spaces to make it easier for everyone else. Great rebound game for Clark, who is my MOTM. Gil is our little engine, he makes so much happen, clearly has to be a regular starter now. It will be interesting to see how Grealish gets back in the starting lineup. Garde couldn't have been very impressed with him at WHL. Was Adama not on the bench today? I'd have preferred to have seen him come on rather than Zog. And can Adama play upfront next to Ayew, or even alone? We need a bloody goal scorer. Heart attack city at the end there, it was almost another classic Villa stoppage time loss. But credit where it's due, and that starts with Remi Garde, who looks the part, and the rest of the team played fought really hard (minus Ayew), and deserved the point. And it is a massive point against the league leaders, and hopefully the start of our claw back from the precipice.
  13. **** it, he's gone and he's never coming back
  14. If I was a lore nerd, I'm be creaming myself, but I never gave a **** about lore, especially when they just make it all up as they go to fit the latest xpac
  15. I'm posting at 230 am sun ...youve proly won it even though i have mor players going today...u got 2 top arse holes
  16. I'm pretty confident we will improve, and the crappy teams just ab above us will not. Swansea are in free fall, Watford will undoubtedly come crashing down, Norwich, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Newcastle...all sides that can go down.
  17. I was a little tipsy when I posted this. It was my late uncle Bob who was shipping out, not Johnny. That's Johnny on the right. The cute little kid (Uncle Chuck) fought in Vietnam as a drafted infantryman. My grandmother played the marimbas in an all girl band that travelled up and down the East Coast until there were too many kids to take care of and retired from music. But her love of music infected my dad, who passed it on to me. Life is a continuum, ya know... And yeah, I'm a bit tipsy again tonight.
  18. Ha, never made that connection myself. He really looked more like George Carlin as the years went on.
