  10. It really is absurd when you have so much money invested in a player and team, and the pkayer has a career altering injury while playing a relatively meaningless U21 match. My head is about to explode it is so **** outrageuos.

  16. Once you're dead, you're dead Dem mate. Unless you're Jebus .... You laugh but I remember reading once, I think it was far east they went to get rid of a very old body and when they opened the coffin and found scratch marks inside the coffin...scary I heard that in old English graveyards, theyd attach a rope down thru the ground into the coffin, and above ground, the rope would be affixed to a bell, so when the so calledcdead person woke up 6 feet under, they could alert people to dig them up!
  17. A great uncle of mine lived to be 98, and then he just said **** this, and refused to eat. He had no quality of life, no wife, a son in Australia, another son a parasite, he couldnt get around much, was mostly blind, and incontinent. So i dont blame him. Just wish we had safe and painless euthanasia clinics here, instead of the alternatives, which include starving yourself to death. He died after about 7 weeks of no food.
  18. I've read stories of near drowning, and they follow a pattern. The drowner initially fights to stay above water in a panic. But once they begin the process of drowning, the first emotion is shame that it has all come to this moment of pure indignity and helplessness. But then a feeling of total euphoria sets in, which seems odd, but has been documented time and again in victims who have been rescued and resuscitated.
  19. Only if it means suffering. If i get hit by lightning, no. Watching my dad wither away from lung cancer scared the shit out of him and all of us. Cancer is evil. So yeah, it depends.
  20. It's an interesting point, and from my understanding, in Japan, depression or melancholy is not considered a disorder, so to speak, but something to be embraced, as a natural aspect of what forms our personalities. And that all sounds nice, but then you look at Gary Speed... But I do think clinical depression is viewed differently across cultures, and I'm wondering if your statement is reflective of a common perception of it in Norway? I wonder if cultures that place a higher premium on individuality and status/achievement experience more problems in this area.
