  1. The first two "relationships" I had were with girls who were totally mental. But they were both beautiful and talented, and smart. The first one was 4 years older than me, (I was 20), and she had gone to university in NYC. I was a carpenter's apprentice in suburban Boston, just kind of going in circles with kids I grew up with. My world was very small until I met her, she really opened up the world to me (books, music, other cultures, etc.) But she was crazy and didn't treat me well, so I ended up dumping her and she threatened to kill herself for 3 months afterwards if I didn't take her back. The other one was better looking, hotter in bed, but just as crazy, if not more. Troubled childhood, drug issues. I left her too. She didn't threaten suicide, but I found out that she actually did commit suicide a few years ago.
  2. Sorry, fella. Chin up, there's like hundreds of millions of women out there.
  3. Credit Sherwood too, we kind of kickstarted their whole surge.
  4. Credit Ranieri, he's got them absolutely flying
  5. I was hoping we signed Samardja (sp?) He'd have made a great #2. I really hope we make a deal to get a legit #2, cuz Clay Buchholz aint it.
  6. ****, I thought I had two more weeks... Oh well, I've won 6 straight in my other league and made the playoffs. Not the same, but what the hell. Good luck to the playoff teams!
  7. I think we need someone with a ruthless streak...
  8. yep, true that. i read it on twitter and it was framed differently
  9. Alan Shearer has said Sherwood wasn't responsible for any of the summer signings...
  10. After their first goal, they started singing about Villa, anyone catch that?
  11. On the bright side, I'm loving this Chelsea fiasco, and I hope Mourinho gets sacked and they hire Dennis Wise to try to save them
  12. Can't help but think the 3 goals we gifted them in 20 minutes was the turning point for both them and us. Depressing thought.
  13. Mahrez Why can't we get players like that
  14. Yeah, it all seems too little too late. Unless the alternative was administration, but we were never in that dire a situation. Fox got it totally wrong in the summer by not holding several interviews for the manager job. Just giving it to Sherwood was a colossal error in judgement and strategy, and it blew up in his face in just a few short months. I'm not sold on Fox, despite his best pitch.
  15. I'm not giving up, you **** I'm just off the bubble, there is still hope for the Bells
  16. Yeah, jazz guitar kind of bums me out.
  17. For me it's Miller's Crossing Barton Fink and none of the others come close
  18. I got sucked into "Chasing Tyson", the ESPN Holyfield doc. Good of course, and a reminder that Hoyfield was arguably better than Tyson, at least head to head over two fights.
  19. I ended up giving series 2 Broadchurch a chance, and it was very good. I like the two main actors in it, well made show, even if it can get a bit hokey at times.
  20. He is mostly responsible; if you think he is solely responsible, you haven't been paying attention. Nobody was complaining about Lerner when he gave Martin O'Neill a vault full of cash to spend. It's been a collective failure; of managers, coaches, front office staff, players, and ownership. And AS owner, Lerner must ultimately take responsibility for this disaster. But to pin it on on him completely is just not accurate.
